At the dawn of the Millennium, the nation collapsed. At 15% unemployment, 10 million were out of work, 800,000 students boycotted school. The adults lost confidence, and fearing the youth, eventually passed the 'Millennium Educational Reform Act'...AKA: The BR Act.

Now, after years of success in the school system, the governments of the world have followed suit and sent their worst, most destructive citizens by armed escort to Genosha, and island rented by the Japanese government to deal with possible super-human threat. You have been chosen to take part in this year's BATTLE ROYALE...

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
This game is based on the controversial masterpiece, "Battle Royale", in which problem highschool students are shipped to a mysterious government island and given three days to kill or be killed until there is only one survivor. That survivor is set free and the whole ordeal happens again the next year.

This time, however, the world is following in the Millennium Educational Reform Act's footsteps and sending all of it's most destructive bungholes ( that would be you ) to Genosha, an island from the X-Men universe that the Japanese government has rented out specifically for this Battle Royale. The collars you are wearing don't only monitor your whereabouts and vitals, and explode if you try to remove them, but they also strip all super humans of any super-human powers they may possess, thus equaling the playing field.

You have 3 days, and by that time there must be only ONE survivor. That survivor is set free and gets 'walking papers' and immunity from the consequences of their past actions. If there are more than one standing at the end of the three days, everyone dies.

You will each be given a bag with weapons ( everyone gets something different ) and a bag of supplies like food, water, sanitary supplies, etc. Your weapons may be useful or useless, and you will receive word of what's in your pack via the PM system.

You may not return, purposely or accidentally, to any part of the military base after orientation.

HOW YOU GOT HERE
You've woken up in a dark military facilitate, surrounded by others who seem as groggy and disoriented as you are. Your head and throat hurt, more than likely from the metal collar you're wearing and the bump on your head, and you notice all too soon that you've been lined up to face a whiteboard...and a small army of military men. What the hell?

SHINEY GAMEPLAY RULES
These are the gameplay rules. They go hand in hand with the forum rules, and should be considered law here since they basically rule you're universe. These may be updated or modified at any time, probably without prior notice so keep checking back. All rules are final say, and if you want to bitch about them you can go elsewhere. We run as tight a ship as possible here, and we're in the business of keeping our RPs not only fair to a fault, but a readable story so please do your best! And remember, rules are just here to make everyone's life easier and save us headache!

001. Your character has NO supernatural powers. If you knew how to fight, then you're good, if you had super strength and didn't know how to fight then you're screwed. The collar around your neck strips you of your powers, monitors your vitals, and your position - in this way the military base keeps track of your every movement. The color *will* explode if you try and remove it, so don't.

002. The moderators are here to work their mojo. They'll monitor your fights and if they've decided you're dead ( don't worry, it will always be fair ), they'll slap your name up with your number in the very next post to let everyone know you've passed on, along with a note about how many characters are left alive, then you're dead and there's no argument. Argument will likely get you banned from future competitions, which you don't want since we may start awarding prizes in the future if this becomes popular enough. Everyone's 'score' will be added next to their name on the claim sheet.

003. Each zone on the island is detailed on the map above and numbered. Each zone takes exactly 10 posts ( like moves on a game board ) to get 'across' that zone and safely to the next. You may *only* go up one zone or down one zone, but other than that you can really go anywhere you like and there's no goal zone to get to. But every so often your MC will come over the loud speaker to announce the most recent dead and the 'hot zones'.

004. When a zone is declared a 'hot zone', what that means is that anyone in the zone has exactly 5 posts or 'moves' to make it out of that zone before their collars explode and they're out of the game.

005. While you don't have to only move in one direction zone-wise, if you're already heading in one direction inside a zone you must keep going that way. Example: If you're in zone 29 and you're heading to 30, you must keep heading towards 30 no matter what, even if 30 becomes a 'hot zone'. If you've left zone 29 and are now 1-4 posts into zone 30 and it becomes a 'hot zone', you're basically screwed because it would take you more than 5 posts or 'moves' to make it to zone 31 before your collar explodes. This is to keep it fair and challenging.
