One of my favorite fonts on Word 2013 is called Bradley Hand ITC as it slightly resembles human hand writing, in addition I write the entire text in Italics which makes it look slightly more convincing, and then I selectively bold certain letters to make it look like that when someone was writing the words out with a pen they pushed down harder with the pen. Other times I might use a color a shade lighter than the rest of the text to make it look like the pen was pushed down a little bit lighter on those points.

That being said if possible we might need a handful of fonts that look kind of like human handwriting. Having only one such font makes it look like every note in the game was penned with only one hand, but that being said just a small amount of work will improve the immersion experience, having something that looks a 100% like a human penned it was NEVER the goal. The first and most important thing I strive for is to use my creative writing skills to give you a small but detailed snapshot of the world. Each time I introduce a new element of the this world I use detail to paint a picture in your mind to show you the details rather than simply tell you the details. The little bit of text art I add on top of that is secondary and merely serves to enhance the power of the ilteration, but the main power stems from the creative writing process.
