Disappointing but not surprising. Every interview I heard was that it was not getting any better and there was nothing he could do but wait. I feel bad for him because its not really his fault, and yet Im frustrated because his absence the last two seasons has really hurt us. I dont think selling him is the way we should go though, just buy someone else to take his place and use him on the wing or in the center to give the other players a break now and then. He would be a very usefull squad player, and then there would also be less a chance of him getting injured. Selling us just means we need to buy 2 players instead of 1, and we dont even know if Arsene will buy 1 with Vela coming back. |

Selling because he is injured is stupid, and he's not a squad player he's a starter, he's just been unlucky. You think a world class winger would come here to sit on the bench until Tomas gets injured? do you think Tomas would want to sit on the bench while someone plays for him? No. we just have to hope he gets over this. He scored 7 goals this season even though he's been out for most of it. Thats more then Helb or Flams, he's a good asset. |

No one a fan of the tough love, huh? It's just so bloody frustrating. Him and RVP especially. In for two weeks, out for ten. And this problem has been going on for two seasons now. We're vulnerable. Wingers/ potential wingers: Hleb & Rosicky- I think most would agree they're our more fixed wingers, except for the fact that, really, both prefer to play in the centre. And Rosicky's always injured. Theo- Soon to be moved up front, and if his interview in the press today is anything to go by, it could be as early as the next few games. Eboue- Stupid attitude, doesn't know if he prefers RW or RB. Diaby- Shite. RVP- Really a striker but can play on the left. Always injured. Eduardo- Do I really need to say anything? Strikers: RVP- Always injured. Adebayor- Our most consistent, but even he can fall off the game sometimes. Eduardo- You know. Hleb- Really a midfielder. Theo- Not quite ready yet, apparently. Bendtner- Can't play alongside Ade, and since Ade is always playing, that pretty much rules him out bar the Kiddies Cup. At the moment, and for a lot of this season, we've had to play with certain players in make-shift positions. We need to get this sorted. I don't care how. I'll leave Arsene to work that out. |

Tomas it seems can not be relied on to go a full season, and it has definatly hurt us. We can not just sit around waiting, if Tomas is fit then he can fight for his place to play like any other player. If we buy another player to challenge his seemingly automatic starting position it will only bring out the best in both players. Buying another winger must be done imo, it has been a major problem for us because Tomas is always injured and then we get stuck playing central mids there. |

OK but just know, no world class winger is going to come if he isn't going to start games, and Tomas wouldn't be happy. Look at Diara. Midfielders especially don't want to sit on the bench all season, and they won't come to Arsenal to do that, we don't pay them enough. |

If we buy a world class winger like David Silva or Queresma (yeah right, but I can wish), than I would leave Rosicky as a sub and start them. Rosicky would be a usefull player coming off the bench, and he would get plenty of games to start as well, because we know that the others will inevitably miss games. Diarra was just an impatient jerk because if he stayed he would have gotten games. Not all players are like him. |

yea i kinda understand what your sayin but what i dont get is, how can chelsea, man utd etc keep world class players on the bench, 4 example SWP, i mean he hardly gets many games, but is still happy 2 sit on the bench, so how come we cant manage that? <_< i'd love 2 sign David Silva 2 Kem, he'd be a great player 4 us :D |

Because their highest payed players get £120,000- £135,000 a week, where ours get no where near that. Some are happy to sit on a bench if thats what they earn for it. |

Oh no I don't think we should sell Tomas just because he's injured.
:( I say keep him and just wait for him to regain full fitness and then he/we will be fine. haha. |

well in that case let's sell Van Persie, let's sell Eduardo and let's sell anyone else with long term injury problems... the fact that we miss him so much when he is injured just proves what a big player he is for us...we should keep hold of him and work on how to prevent his injuries, since it seems to be his hamstring that he injures, why not bind it? it canes like hell when it is taken off but it really prevents pulling of the hamstring. we can't see a quality player just becuase he is prone to injuries and i hope to god Wenger thinks like that too... |

:( we did sell bobby lol i get what you mean though lol but I 100% disagree. Van Persie is a season away from being on my sell list if he has another year like these last two. Eduardo just had one bad injury he is not injury prone Rosicky has injury problems back at Dortmund, so this is nothing new. Two seasons here, plus time at Dortmund he has spent on the sideline. He just cant get fit and I really dont see why people think we can rely on him to play week in week out. These past 2 seasons the problem has been his injurys, if he was fit we wouldnt have to worry about playing Eboue out wide. Maybe we shouldnt sell him, but we need a world class winger to be there when he spends another 5 months on the sideline. |

I have to agree with Kem. I love love love love LOVE Tomas and Robin, but I'm an Arsenal fan before I'm a Tomas-and-Robin fan, and you've got to think about what's best for the club. Eduardo's a completely different issue cos he had a very unfortunate one-off injury which, should everything go as expected, he should be able to recover from and go on to play normally. Tomas and Robin have had these problems for a long time now and they don't seem to be going away. What's the point in having players in our squad who can play for two matches and then be out for the rest of the season? It just prevents Arsene Wenger from bringing anyone else in because, like Tiger_Jay said, no top-quality player's gonna wanna come in under the impression they'll have to fight for a first team spot every week. Meaning we have effectively no left-winger for something ridiculous like four months. I'm not saying sell them now. With any luck the problems should clear up. Robin was absolutely fine until last season, but he seems dangerously fragile right now. I'm hoping it's just a bad spell and he'll get over it. As for Tomas, I don't know. Give them another year, see how things go. We do need some more cover, though, just in case the same happens again and they find themselves on the injury list yet again. We've had some awful luck with injuries this season, which has been part of the reason why we've slipped up. If we're so unlucky again next season, we've gotta be better equipped to find someone to fill in for the likes of Rosicky. I mean, who have we had this season? Diaby. <_< And Hleb, but that has meant sticking Eboue on the right, and he's got his own issues. |
