I don't think Ade is trying to make it seem like the team revolves around him. As the article above says, he's been away on a tour, and he wouldn;t have had time to say anything. He deserved a break from everything that is going on. And time and time again, he has said that he is staying. It's just the papers and milan who keep pursuing and trying to make a big deal out of nothing.

Adebayor adds to confusion

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has given conflicting messages over his future as he pledged to stay with the club at midday, before just over an hour later, in an interview with Sky Sports News, conceding he could yet still sign for Milan.

Adebayor's comments would likely have been well received in the capital but later, in a one-on-one interview with Sky Sports, the player was considerably more ambiguous with regards his future.

"I am a footballer, I have a three-year contract at Arsenal but as you know, a lot of clubs are interested in me," he told Sky Sports News.

"At the moment we are just going to sit down and talk and decide what to do.

"Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week."

What are you smoking? Idiot. <_<

I'm becoming more and more disappointed with Ade by the day.

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that Barcelona have made a very attractive offer for his services.

Adebayor stated on Friday that he would be staying at Arsenal, but later the same day he admitted his future was still far from certain.

Milan had appeared to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Adebayor but the 24-year-old has now declared that he would be interested in joining Barcelona.

Adebayor has warned Arsenal that he will look to leave if his pay demands are not satisfied, even though Arsene Wenger has reiterated his desire to keep the Togo international.

"Milan are a big club but the fact they are not playing in the Champions League next season is less of a challenge," Adebayor told the News of the World.

"Barcelona have made a good financial offer and there is also the chance to play alongside great players.

"Yes, I am still under contract to Arsenal but it's up to the directors to satisfy my demands or I'll leave.

"If my good form of last season has increased my value, my employers have to take account of that.

"I have to prepare for my retirement. Even if you are not scoring fine goals and you have money, you can enjoy a happy retirement.

"The time for preparing for that moment is now."

Adebayor believes he should be given parity with former team-mate Thierry Henry after successfully filling the void left by the Frenchman last season.

He explained: "People ask if I am asking for the same salary as Henry. That is not necessarily the question.

"But I am being considered a worthy replacement for Henry while not deserving his salary.

"The question lies on this level."

Money, money, money.

He's had one good season. Yes, and we're very pleased for you, Adebayor. But one good season doesn't automatically make you a superstar. It was one good season which doesn't even come close to replicating Henry's form for us a few years ago. So while you think you can be the next King of Arsenal or whatever the hell you want to call yourself, and demand stupidly high wages or else threaten to leave if we don't meet your greedy requirements, there's absolutely no guarantee you'll be worth your £70k a week or whatever stupid sum you're demanding. I'd rather you pissed off and made way for the likes Eduardo, who knows how to just keep his head down and get on with it without trying to make himself out to be some kind of God of football. Get your head out of your arse, or else get yourself out of the Arse.

I apologise for ending my rant on such a cheesy note. -_-

Wtf. He's being a bitch, he really is.
Isn't he already earning a million times more than his countrymen?
Why does it always have to be about money anyway? A few weeks ago, wasn't he going on and on about the unity of the squad and how they would fight together to win trophies?
Then Milan and fucking Barca come and he changes his mind. Hypocrite.

You know, we never hear of players like Cesc, Clichy and Kolo complaining about money. They can and will be offered much more elsewhere but they stay and they shut up.
Ade can fuck off if he thinks he's Henry.

Alternatively, we could put our trust in Robin not breaking for once. ;)

First he's saying he is not going to leave, and now he's threatening to leave if he doesn't get the right money. I say let him go.We could buy a new striker who actualyl has respect from the club, rather than just wanting money.
If he stays next year, I'm just going to be disappointed. I've lost all respect for him after everything he has said in the past few weeks.

Robin will not break this time. His shirt is having a bubble wrap inner padding sewn into it, and his socks will be lined with lead. *Runs into a forest and touches all the trees there are*

It's not even the fact that he's demanding so much money that annoys me (well, that does annoy me, fine -_- ), but more the fact that he's believing his own hype and thinks he has some kind of right to make all these demands in the first place. He's had one good season, and to be honest, I don't think his season was as good as everyone's been saying it was. He's got very good physical strength and he's good at holding the ball, but he cocks up chances far too often. Someone like Cesc or Clichy would just be concentrating on improving themselves if they were in his situation, because it's obvious there's more to come from Ade. But instead, he just wants to think about how much money he's gonna earn and how comfortable his retirement is gonna be, which is premature, in my opinion. How old is he? Twenty-three? Get on with your career, you twat. <_<

EDIT: Actually, read Arseblog. He articulates exactly what I think perfectly.

I really hope we sell him. I don't want him at the club, thinking he is worth more than everyone else, Cesc is a million times better then ade but he isn't demanding all that money. Who does he think he is??? Seriously who told him he is this good? Anyone could finish the chances he had this season when it's a team like Arsenal making them, geez he missed more than he scored. Fucking shit. We need to sell him now while other teams are willing to pay this much and buiy someone else. When Edurado comes back he'll be scoring more than ade did.

Seriously Ade get over yourself, you are not Thierry Henry, and I dont think you ever will be. Like Tiger Jay said anyone could finish most of the chances we create for you, and you STILL miss more than you score. pfft you are not worth near as much as you think you are.

This guy is a cunt, plain and simple.

Even if he and Hleb stay, I will never like them the way I used to before this summer.
