Because over-seas players ( non-EU ) have to have at least one national call and they should be at least more than 17 i think, to be able to get a work permit in UK.

For example when Chelsea signed Alex, he wasnt given a work permit because he was so unproved player and they have to give him on loan to PSV until he got a national call i think.

For other countries it is different. In Spain you are allowed to have 4 non-EU players.

On the arrival of fellow countryman Giovani Dos Santos at White hart Lane, he said:

“I hope things go well for him at Tottenham, that he gets the minutes he wasn’t given at Barcelona and that he shows what he can do.

“He is a very good player and let’s hope he can then move on to a better team.”

*claps* He's such a bitch! I love him already.

Reports are surfacing that Arsenal striker Carlos Vela and some of his team mates were arrested by Chicago Police last night, after causing a disturbance at the teams Hotel. The squad are currently staying at the “Westin” on Michigan Ave, after taking part in two friendly fixtures against Argentina and Peru.

After the latter game in which they won 4-0, with Vela getting on the score sheet, they were unwinding in the early hours of the morning before an incident kicked off. Captain Oswaldo Sanchez along with Vela and another member of the side, were listening to music in Sanchez’s room before Hotel staff received complaints about the noise.

They were twice asked to turn it down by security, but after failing to do so Police were called. They asked the players to leave, but after an argument broke out involving the confrontational Sanchez, they were taken into custody.

Oswaldo denied he was in the room during the occasions they were asked to turn the volume down, but Carlos and other members were. He returned as the law enforcement officers entered, and as the teams captain, naturally took the flack for the younger players actions.

“After games, we have a hard time sleeping,” Sanchez told HOY “Sometimes we’ll listen to music in one guy’s room or another guy’s room, and that’s what happened. We turned up the music a little and the people at the hotel called the police.

“[The hotel staff] came twice saying to turn down the music. I wasn’t there those times. I was there the third time — that’s what the police got there. I got scared because I saw the police. I tried telling my teammates that we shouldn’t get in trouble, and unfortunately they grabbed me. Maybe for being the captain…of the situation.”

Vela and the others involved were released without charge this morning, whilst Sanchez who resisted arrest and continued to argue with officers was fined $1,000, and order to attend court on July 11.

Kids.

Dont believe the blogger it's pure crap, am Mexican, and lemme tell u the story...

After everygame the players find it very hard to get some sleep, some of the players (no names) had their music too loud, so the prissy people from the hotel called the cops, the cops DID knock on their door twice and told them to turn the music down, which they didn't, those 2 times O.Sanchez wasn't there, the 3rd time the cops knocked Oswaldo was there this time, he came out and they told him to leave, which ofcourse he didn't, anyone that knows Oswaldo, knows he is a man with character, so him being the captain got arrested because he was the captain and was in the room with some of the players and resisted arrest ... Oswaldo didn't wanna give any names out... it was a minor felony, just music being loud... so dont believe the Vela blog it was all made up... by the way got some Carlitos old pics =]

O.Sanchez
