Aghh Atleti thread
:D we didn't have one of these one the other forum and i did think about making one but didn't think anyone is too bothered about them! Atleti are my spanish team :D They're playing amazing this season and about time too! Last season it was going okish but then we went on a horrible stinky patch and dropped out of the UEFA cup places. :( I'm hoping this season its much different for us and we stay in these CL places cos that would be just so amazing to remain there and be in the CL next season! and as for Torres - hahahaha to all of the people who said Atleti would struggle without him! I think we're coping just fine with the wonderful partnership of Diego and Kun! : -_- |

yeah i wasn't too sure that anybody wold reply but i thought what the heck i'll give it a try
;) i've finally realised that Atleti is the team i like the best in Spain. I don't follow that league as closly as the english but this season i try to keep up with it. I really think they can make it to a top 4 finish cause the really have the material and i think that some of their players are forgotten because of the other superstar footballers that's from the same country. But this year we're gonna show them all!!! we're gonna make it out there to the european stage!! there were a couple of guys yesterday on TV that talked about Silly Seasin in La Liga and they went through all the top teams and the had picked 3 players they thpought would be good for the teams. Ome had picked a striker for Atleti but i can't remember who it was but then another guy said that they don't really need a striker cause they have such a good partnership in Kun/Forlan :D @ Vikki: btw the same guy also said that he wanted Diego(werder bremen) as a playmaker in Real ;) |

Well you will catch me always posting in here.. Is that enough to prove to you i wuv my Atleti? :wub: Posted Image Yeah, if we carry on playing like this i dont see why we can't make it into the CL. I just dont want the same to happen as last season where towards the end we got a run of a few poor results and made us drop into the Intertoto cup place and therefore making it harder to get in the Uefa Cup place. Anyway managing to get into that and through the the next stage we now have Bolton :huh: Thats true though - they don't really need a striker. Kun and Forlan have been able to work well together as a partnership and get Atleti a lot of goals this season. Not only that, many of the goals Atleti have scored this season have been spread out all over the pitch. Simao has been a good buy for Atletico, hes done his job and fitted into the team very well. :o :o Diego isn't allowed to move to Real - he can't go there!! |

I like Atleti too, though i wouldnt go as far to say they are my fave team in Spain(i dont really have 1), but i think they are better without torres and i think aguero will end up being better than him. |

Yeah - if Atleti just play how they have been playing i dont see why we can't progress to the next stage in the UEFA Cup. Im happy for Simao - i miss watching him in the Portuguese League as he was one player that when Benfica played he was a joy to watch. But with him being Portuguese and coming to Atleti i didn't mind that much. Its nice to see him settled in quickly but it has kept Maniche out of the team hence why he's been linked with almost everyone an di liked Maniche cos he was another Portuguese player! But Simao is better -_- Well hopefully that dream will never happen! If Diego is coming to Madrid i'm going to make sure its the Atleti side and not the Real side! But hes just won player of the first half of the season in Germany so i can't see him leaving just yet! :D I hope Kun ends up better than Torres as i really can't stand Torres anymore! But with Torres gone its meant Kuns had more of a chance and so have other players because with Torres in the team with him being one of the "star" players it was very rare he'd be subbed and Kun found himself on the bench alot last season but with Torres not being there Kun finds himself upfront and not on the bench more, but even if hes had a poor game theyre not afraid to sub him like they were with Torres and thats why the goals have come from all over the pitch. (if that makes any sense at all to you?) |

i think Maniche will leave, i don't think he's happy sitting on the bench. I think you can compare Torres to Henry. Cause everyone was saying Arsenal wouldn't cope without Henry but the youngsters stepped up and broke through their shell, i think they felt like they didn't have the pressure anymore with Henry gone. Cause when he was on the pitch they felt they had to pass him. And i think that was the deal a bit with Torres too. He had a lot of respect, but i think he's a bit overlooked. I used to love Torres in Atletico but now i just don't feel the same about him anymore. Atleti really has a good chance now cause now it's more about the team than "the player". if you know what i mean? |

Yeah, he has said he'll leave and i think it was Inter(or may have been Juve) who said they were interested in him and he wouldn't say no to it. It was also said that Boro we're interested but i mean if Juve/Inter want him why would he go to rubbish boro? :lol: But yeah, i agree with you there! As for loving torres and now not liking him - i'm exactly the same! Thank you gunnergirl. |

Yeah probably i think he signed a 5 year contract, he's 23 so after that he'd be 28 so maybe that would be a good time to go back, if they want him :P |

I still think he'll probably come later than that. I say more towards the "very end" of his career. Omg i can't imagine him as a 35 year old! :o Haha, just try picture him as an oldish man. Well middle aged man so 35-40s...i can't picture it! :lol: |
