Its still 4 points gap. I will be so gutted if Inter can't hold onto this and go the same way Arsenal have.

Maniche scored and well im glad it wasnt the winning goal -_- At least he scored though. I feel Atleti were stupid for selling him but if he will be scoring for Inter then so be it, i just hope the goals dont really mean anything (like this goal) as i dont want inter going further ahead.

I see Pato scored and it reminded me of this....

You know that my brother went to Milan and that i asked for him to bring back Pato well....he sort of did..

At least the boots are the same colour!

Anyway i do have a few pictures, he did try to get me a picture of Pato and well you can only make out it is him because of his boots!
I've not heard the end of his time in Milan, im still so jealous he went and everytime one of the Milan players that he saw comes on the TV he says "I've seen him" <_<

The stadium looks amazing! And well not bad seats for £10, ok youre quite high up but i mean it was only £10 and well all the goals were at that end too so it was all good for him which makes me grr even more! <_<

What an entertaining match Juve-Milan was, great end to end stuff the whole time. These last 2 Juve games have been fantastically entertaining. I really dont get how people think Serie A is boring lol. 3-2 Juve in the end. Milan are in trouble getting into the CL.

It was tough watching the Champions League semi-finals this week. With Italian interest limited to just Barcelona full-back Gianluca Zambrotta, Serie A followers were forced to accept the fact that the peninsula’s best this season were just not good enough on the biggest and most lucrative stage there is.

While some may argue that Chelsea had an easy run up until the semi-finals and that Manchester United preached a disguised form of Catenaccio, there is no doubt that they are two of Europe’s most talented sides.

Of course, Italy’s big boys will be mounting another challenge next season in an effort to readdress the balance of power. Inter, Roma and Juventus have already qualified for the competition, but who will join them? With three games left, Fiorentina lead Milan by two points.

The Tuscan giants would undoubtedly deserve a sporting shot at the trophy after the Calciopoli verdicts contrived to rob them of a return to the European Cup over the last two campaigns. However, if you solely put the winning interests of Italian football into the equation, then it would clearly be more effective for Milan to pip them to fourth.

The Rossoneri have had a campaign to forget, yet one has to accept the reality that they would in all probability be more of a force in Europe next season than the Viola. While Cesare Prandelli – Italy’s most talented boss right now – has worked wonders at the Franchi, the club lack the financial clout and experience to mount a serious Champions League challenge. Don’t be misguided by their progress in the Mickey Mouse Cup.

Milan, on the other hand, have the financial backing to – as is necessary – re-invigorate their squad ahead of the 2008-09 campaign. And should they make the right acquisitions tactically, rather than superficially, then the multiple European champions could even be Serie A’s best bet of reaching the latter stages of the European Cup a year from now.

Inter will once more be expected to delude by failing to live up to their undoubted potential, Roma will probably again lose a big-name player during the summer – Amantino Mancini – which will complicate their priority of adding squad depth, while we shouldn’t expect too much from a Juventus side who sometimes struggled in Europe even with their pre-demotion super squad.

So who should finish fourth – Fiorentina or Milan? It depends on whether you’d like to watch an all Premiership Champions League Final at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico next term. No offence, but I wouldn’t.

i feel the same more or less, though obviously i would want Arsenal in the final. I want Milan in CL because as much as I like Fiorentina, its better for Italian football in general if Milan make it.

I'm watching the Milan game now. I love Kaka he's brilliant! One assist, one goal I believe. I haven't watched Milan for the longest time and I really wonder why they've struggled so much this season if they can actually play like that against Inter. Ah well. I guess we can wave goodbye to Flams?

Well for one Kaka was injured alot during the middle of the season, plus the team wasnt really clicking, but they are getting better now and I think they should have 4th wrapped up. Kaka is fantastic though, I still think hes the best player in the world.

Barzagli has joined Zaccardo and left Serie A to play for Wolfsburg and the Bundesliga. Barzagli shunned an offer from Fiorentina and went to Wolfsburg apparently for more money. Not good news for Serie A.

Balotelli 'asks to leave' Friday 24 October, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are reports that Inter's teenage marksman Mario Balotelli is planning to hand in a transfer request.

Balotelli is one of Italy's most promising rising stars, but he has had limited action with the Nerazzurri this term.

According to Sportmediaset, the Azzurrini ace has grown tired of his peripheral role and is ready to ask Mourinho to be transfer-listed.

The 18-year-old is determined to break into Marcello Lippi's senior Italy squad and he realises that is unlikely when his involvement is limited to warming the San Siro bench.

Sportmediaset claims that Balotelli will meet with club officials next week to discuss a possible loan switch in January.

Chelsea are known to be keen on Balotelli and Serie A's giants are also likely to keep a close eye on the situation.

Balotelli leaving Inter would be HUGE, he is imo one of the best young strikers in the world, second to only Kun Aguero, and if he did leave Inter whichever team was able to sign him would have a huge talent for the years to come.
