Nope he didn't. I forgot about him, he was so fussy  In corners & freekicks he kept going into the box telling people off for pushing and shoving but once he walked away it starts again

He was very whistle happy -_-

That ref was so annoying. Kept blowing his whistle every 5 seconds. Argh.

Gerrard and Rooney were awesome together.
I was so happy that Terry scored a goal. Hope it puts his mind to ease a little
Becks...man....how is he still so good at his age?
Barry I thought was really good. Nice to see him in the squad
Bently wasn't too bad either.
Overall...i thought we could have got a few more goals....i mean it is the USA after all, but I'm just happy that we won.

The three good things about the game yesterday.
1. JT scoring :D I love him too much.
2. The mexian wave at the stadium although it did get a bit boring after 5 minutes.
3. The fact i found a restaurant near the stadium that sells the best vanilla cheesecake ever!

Apart from that second half was much better than the first half. Thought Defoe was pretty poor, rooney wasn't brilliant either. I think USA were lucky we seem to be incapable of scoring more than 2 goals most of the time or it would have been alot worse for them.
Saw a bit of improvment last night.
Hopefully some of the fringe players get a chance to play on Sunday.

Wow England actually won last night. Anyone watch it.. even though it was on at 10.20pm!!?

Wasn't too bad actually considering the state of the pitch.. nice to see the England team play without all the Chelsea & Man Utd players in it. haha.

Theoooo came on towards the end too so that was good to see. Defoe played well last night too scoring 2 goals. :)

I stayed up to watch it :ph43r: Well i was doing revision so i had it on although it put me off a bit.
T&T were awful i don't see how Fabio learns about the players when they play against poor teams like them
The first 20 we played really well i thought but as the game went on you could tell they were all just thinking about their holidays.

Yeah i suppose so and a few players got their first cap.

lol  I think the reason they went there was because the FA want the T&T FA to vote for England to hold the world cup when the voting comes around and they said they would vote for England if they held a game there. I think that was the reason Beck's was captain as well

This has all been sorted out now and the game has stood but
Quote:

England victory may be wiped out

Ashton may still be waiting for his first England cap
Four England players could lose their first caps after Fifa said the 3-0 friendly win over Trinidad and Tobago may not be rated a full international.

Fifa is unhappy that England made one more than the maximum six substitutions in the match, although the Football Association thought it was pre-agreed.

Dean Ashton, Joe Hart, Phil Jagielka and Stephen Warnock all made their first appearances for England.

But the victory is now in danger of being erased from the record books.

West Ham striker Ashton started the match, while Manchester City goalkeeper Hart, Everton defender Jagielka and Blackburn left-back Warnock came off the bench in the second half.

England boss Fabio Capello made seven changes in total - four at half-time, and three more later in the second half.

And that has left Fifa unhappy and considering whether to downgrade the match from an official A international.

A Fifa spokesman said: "We can confirm that Fifa did not give special dispensation to make up to seven substitutions at the Trinidad and Tobago versus England match.

"We have spoken internally at Fifa about the matter and nobody allowed this to happen."

However, the FA is under the impression such a decision had been agreed - and it is believed it had originally asked to make 11 changes.

An FA spokesman said: "The fact of the matter is the opportunity to use seven substitutes was cleared in advance of the game by Fifa, Trinidad and Tobago representative Jack Warner, the Fifa delegate for the game and the match referee.

"Trinidad had the same option to use seven subs. There is no way we would have gone ahead with using seven subs without the approval that we were given."

If Fifa rules the match should not be counted as a full international, it would also be a blow for Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry, who scored his first goal for his country.

England would also slip back down the Fifa world rankings, having moved up two places and regained a place in the top 10 after their victory.

And David Beckham, who was Capello's surprise choice to captain the side, will move back to having led his country on 58 occasions.

The hosts made six changes in the match, which was played in part to celebrate the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation's centenary.

That is ridiculous that a win in a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago can move u 2 places up in the world rankings.
Also have FIFA got nothing better to do with their time?

Fabio blasts media reaction Thursday 12 June, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

England boss Fabio Capello has hit out at the Italian media’s response to the Azzurri’s defeat against Holland in their Euro 2008 opener.

Italy’s air of confidence was reduced to rubble in Berne when Holland crushed Roberto Donadoni’s lacklustre side 3-0 to take command of Group C.

Donadoni came in for some savage criticism in the peninsula, with Tuttosport’s headline demanding the return of World Cup winning Coach Marcello Lippi.

“I absolutely disagree with what has been said regarding the squad and the Coach,” Capello insisted on Rai Sport. “The media have gone into mourning after just one game.

“I have heard it said that Donadoni should have chosen a different formation and made a number of mistakes, but I don’t agree.

“I think that Holland had some chances and they made the most of them, while Italy didn’t exploit theirs.

“I was listening to the game on the car radio and as soon as they announced the team line-up they immediately questioned the lack of Daniele De Rossi.

“I am a passionate Azzurro inside, but I believe that a Coach must be allowed to make his choices in a calm way and instead I heard and continue to hear such fatalism.”

Donadoni knows that his job rests on delivering victory over Romania on Friday in Zurich.

I wonder how hard it would be for him to play Italy in the World Cup, I mean I know they are all professional so it probably wouldnt be that big a deal, but I know it would hard for me.

England squad to face Czech Republic on Wednesday at Wembley Stadium:

Goalkeepers: David James (Portsmouth), Paul Robinson (Blackburn Rovers), Joe Hart (Manchester City)

Defenders: Wayne Bridge (Chelsea), Wes Brown (Manchester United), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), John Terry (Chelsea), Matthew Upson (West Ham United), Jonathan Woodgate (Tottenham Hotspur)

Midfielders: Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Gareth Barry (Aston Villa), Joe Cole (Chelsea), David Bentley (Tottenham Hotspur), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), David Beckham (LA Galaxy), Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough), Jermaine Jenas (Tottenham).

Forwards: Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Jermain Defoe(Portsmouth), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Emile Heskey (Wigan Athletic)

I'll be honest if this is the squad we are going to be using in the world cup qualifiers, i'm worried.
