I think we should have just given him he's cap next week then we can say thank you and bye so we can go into the next lot of qualifiers with a new start and not guessing whether on not Becks will get he's 100th cap.
I can understand why he wasn't picked tho cos he hasn't played a competative game since the Croatia game, but i didn't see the harm of letting him play for 50 minutes or someting then taking him off and letting him get the heros ovation he wants. I'm just bored of hearing about this now

Agreed just giv Becks his Fcking 100th cap so he'll leav us alone

I agree that he deserves his 100th cap, but I know that If I was going to earn my 100th cap I'd like it to be in a match that means something. I don't get the whole thing that people are saying "Is this the end for Beckham?" No way, It's a friendly, he hasn't played in months and usually in friendly the manager tries out players he's not so familiar with  But if Capello is gonna be a twunt and leave Beckham out, then you really do need help!!

Curtis Davies  Glad to see a non Premiership teams player in there though, makes a change ;)

i can't believe Capello wouldn't give Becks his 100th cap, he deserves it and whilst it's a friendly ... what does it matter

glad 2 see some young players added, like Agbonlahor, Davies.

hmmm y bring Hesky, i mean Hesky and Owen play really well together, but Rooney is fit, sureley he'll play Rooney and Owen together <_<

From the wonderfull people at BBC:
Quote:

England suffer Heskey injury blow

Heskey has suffered an injury hit season with Wigan
Wigan striker Emile Heskey has been ruled out of England's squad for the friendly against Switzerland.
Latics boss Steve Bruce said Heskey, who has 43 caps, suffered a "nerve problem" in the 1-0 win over West Ham.

Heskey, 30, was one of five strikers named by new England boss Fabio Capello in his first 30-man squad on Thursday.

Capello will trim that number to 23 after Saturday's Premier League matches - an announcement is due at 2000 GMT - ahead of Wednesday's game at Wembley.

David Beckham was left out of the initial squad, leaving him stuck on 99 international appearances, because of doubts over his match fitness.

Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson was also omitted, while Aston Villa's Curtis Davies and Gabriel Agbonlahor won their first call-ups.

Bruce said of Heskey's latest injury setback: "He's got a nerve problem, I think.

"It's a continuation of the big fella being out for three or four months because he's getting niggles, pulls and strains all the time
