Calling the goal back was complete crap! A)I didn't even think he was offsides and B)Even if he was why did they wait so long to call it?!? Gooch's goal was totally unexpected for me...I was like how the hell did he get that in there  And Jozy's goal was just pure class. Hope scores many many more of those for the U.S.

Vela did look really good....Arsenal needs to sort out his situation quick because I think he'll be amazing for the team.

Yeah I think both the US and Mexico can be happy with this match because it showed how much young talent both countries have. Im really excited to see how this US team is going to develop in the future, as we have some great young attacking players, and midfielders. Im not worried about GKs either, Howard is very good and Guzan and others I think would be able to step in if he is out, I just worry about the defense, especially at fb, because I think Gooch and Boca are pretty decent cbs, that play alot better when they dont have to worry about covering for poor fbs. Maybe Bornstein and Spector will step up, or someone else. This makes me more excited for qualifiers this summer though.

nice little article about Jozy, apparently hes a Barca fan

I liked that article about Jozy. I think he should go to a mid-table team, maybe somewhere like Man City, West Ham, or even Everton. I don't think it would be a good idea for him to go to a big club because, like the guy said, he would be spend the majority of his time playing with the reserves and may become impatient, which has been the downfall of some players.

And I actually liked the new jerseys. They are ALOT better than those horrible pinstripe blue ones they wore last year.

Yeah, I agree, about where Jozy should go, def somewhere like that instead of some big club right off the bat.

and I like the new kits too, much better than the horrible pin stripes, the only little problem i had was the collar v-neck but ill get over it lol.

The Olympic Qualifying camp roster was announced. Here it is:

GOALKEEPERS: Dominic Cervi (Chicago Fire), Tally Hall (Esbjerg fB), Chris Seitz (Real Salt Lake)
DEFENDERS: Maurice Edu (Toronto FC), Hunter Freeman (New York Red Bulls), Kamani Hil (Vfl Wolfsburg), Patrick Ianni (Houston Dynamo), Michael Orozco (San Luis), Mike Randolph (LA Galaxy), Nathan Sturgis (Real Salt Lake), Marvell Wynne (Toronto FC)
MIDFIELDERS: Arturo Alvarez (FC Dallas), Benny Feilhaber (Derby County), Eddie Gaven (Columbus Crew), Stuart Holden (Houston Dynamo), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Dax McCarty (FC Dallas), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew), Sal Zizzo (Hannover 96)
FORWARDS: Freddy Adu (SL Benfica), Jozy Altidore (New York Red Bulls), Chad Barrett (Chicago Fire), Charlie Davies (Hammarby IF), Robbie Findley (Real Salt Lake)

Im pretty sure this isnt the finished roster, more euros might be brought in and some people cut but this is probably a good idea what the team is going to look like.

I like how the roster looks right now. Even though the Olympics are not that big of a deal in the football world, it's great to see some young guys playing on a relatively big stage :)

I'm also really happy to see Benny and Sach together again because that means I get to hear more podcasts....those guys are hilarious together

Lol, yeah it looks like a good squad and i wouldnt be surprised if guys like Bradley and Spector were added to it. The Olympics will be a great chance for the boys to show what they can do internationally. This might determine things like where Benny ends up after this whole Derby thing, and might push someone further to come bid for Jozy. Really cant wait to be able to see this team in action, it already feels like forever from the u-20 wc and i want to see the usa in another tourny.

sure, but i dont think they are generally shown on tv.

disappointing result for u-23s, 1-1 draw when they clearly should have won. I couldnt believe how many chances were missed. also couldnt believe the coach subbed jozy off at the half, what a stupid move. now they play thursday against panama, which they have to win.

I remembered all day to watch the match until about half an hour before it started when I got distracted and ended up missing it  I guess I'll have to catch the highlights. But 1-1 against Cuba?!?! I was expecting to see a scoreline of something like 3 or 4-0. Hope they can do better against Panama.

I know me too! lol they really should have scored at least 3 or more because Jozy had a one on one with the keeper that he messed up, someone else did, and then Findley I think got played a long ball over the top and he hit it with like no power behind it straight at the keeper. Adu had a few other good chances too.

If they can just score their chances from now on they should still have no problem going on.

Not necesarily US news, but 5 members of the Cuban u-23 team that drew with the US have disappeared from their hotel room and have apparently defected.

TAMPA, Fla. — Five members of the Cuban Under 23 national soccer team left their hotel Tuesday night and are unaccounted for, raising the possibility they may be trying to defect.

The players were discovered to have left the team hotel hours after earning a 1-1 draw with the United States in the Pre-Olympic tournament.

“Jose Manuel Miranda, Erlys Garcia Baro, Yenier Bermudez, Yordany Alvarez and Loanni Prieto left the hotel”, Raul Gonzalez, coach of the Cuban national team, told ESPN reporter Fernando Palomo.

Well welcome to the US! ;)

 That is crazy!! I thought we wouldn't usually play Cuba because of what happened 50 odd years ago!
