I know about the CONCACF buisness, its just that the US doesn't get along with Cuba therefore thats why I thought we didn't play each other on the global stage.

To follow up on the Cuba business apparently all the players whove defected have been given a trial for Miami FC, and they will be signed if they do well.

USA vs Panama (u-23s) tonight 8pm FSC. USA must win, and Ill admit im a little nervous because theyre last game they looked awful sometimes lol. and their finishing was horrible. They should be able to turn it around though, I hope.

USA u-23 won 1-0 on a Freddy Adu penalty. Even though the US won im still worried that they havent scored from open play yet. I though Jozy was much better today, but I dont know why the coach wont play another striker up top with him. Thought he did wonderful sometimes going around defenders but either got fouled or had no one to pass to. Freddy and Holden were great too I thought, Freddy was as good as last time, Holden I have never seen before, but was pleasantly surprised by. Edu did a great job in defence, espcially since he is usually a cdm.

Next match I want to see a goal scored from play.

So I must admit, I haven't been watching much of the olympic qualifying, but from what I see from the highlights, I'm not missing much. I hear that the team is playing like complete shite, and that ego's are a big part in that.
One thing that made me laugh was that apparently Feilhaber was taken off the roster because he thought he was too good since he plays in the Prem  Ok 1)You play for Derby and 2)You can't even make the bench for the worst team in the history of the league! So he has NOTHING to brag about! I used to play softball with people like that and it really pisses me off!

Not necesarily US news, but 5 members of the Cuban u-23 team that drew with the US have disappeared from their hotel room and have apparently defected.

TAMPA, Fla. — Five members of the Cuban Under 23 national soccer team left their hotel Tuesday night and are unaccounted for, raising the possibility they may be trying to defect.

The players were discovered to have left the team hotel hours after earning a 1-1 draw with the United States in the Pre-Olympic tournament.

“Jose Manuel Miranda, Erlys Garcia Baro, Yenier Bermudez, Yordany Alvarez and Loanni Prieto left the hotel”, Raul Gonzalez, coach of the Cuban national team, told ESPN reporter Fernando Palomo.

Well welcome to the US! ;)

lol I love how their manager's name is Raul Gonzalez!
