Liissi :D Good to see you back! :) I am worried about the Portugal game as well, especially as the German CB's aren't proving to be too great, and with all that quickness of the Portugues... I hope Schweini can play then, you surely remember him last time you played them :P It's a hard game to call :-/ I just hope Germany play the way they can, and not the way they do sometimes.. I call him Lulu as well :D :$ and Goldi Poldi of course!! |

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Lep! Hopefully he'll get injured in Training. Nothing too serious but something serious enough to keep him out of the game on Thursday! :ph4:
  and well two poor defences.....good attacking for one team (germany) and quickness of the other team (Portugal)....this should be fun! :P 5-5 anyone and then Pens to settle it? :ph4: :P |

haha, I wouldn't mind that...as Germany haven't lost on penalties in a tournament since the early 70's or something crazy like that. Yeah, just checked last time against the Czechs(no pun intended!) in 1976. :P Did you see Schweini tonight? He looked so cute when they scored, high fiving Lowe  |

Big match tonight! I think its fair enough if van basten rests most of his players, its been a long season and not playing 90 mins will help the players be fresh for the rest of the tourne. I seen a clip from his press conference the other day & he said when asked about will he be resting players, "we are thinking about ourselves" So I wouldn't be surprised if most are rested! & The big match! France-italy... I think italy will win, france have been so poor. |

Domenech: I like Italy Tuesday 17 June, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- France boss Raymond Domenech has eased the tension ahead of today’s mammoth clash against Italy, but will be without Patrick Vieira. Old rivals Italy and France cross swords in a repeat of the 2006 World Cup Final, but both sides know that even a win won’t be enough if Romania beat Holland. Domenech has become notorious for his Italian baiting, but he insists that there is no animosity. “Tomorrow we could both end up crying – it would be the first time we have done something together,” the outspoken tactician joked. “I’ve always said that Italians are nice people and I like their football and their food. But you journalists can always make things seem different.” Although Domenech won’t be listening in to Holland-Romania, he is expecting to hear if there are developments. “We have to think about one thing at a time. We have a match to play and we don’t have a great chance of making it. “We have to win our game, otherwise it is pointless to know about other events, but I will find out from the stands because the fans will react. “Will this be my last match? I can’t say whether this is my final Press conference as a Coach, but this is the last question I’m answering,” Domenech concluded. It has been confirmed that Inter midfielder Vieira will miss out and is still awaiting his first kick at Euro 2008 due to a thigh injury. “I have managed to train,” he revealed. “But the pain is stopping me from accelerating or kicking a ball. I don’t know when I will be able to play again.” i think if France doesnt get out of the group he will be sacked. Edited by Kem, Jun 17 2008, 05:07 PM.

Netherlands: Stekelenburg, Heitinga, De Cler, Bouma, Boulahrouz, De Zeeuw, Engelaar, Afellay, Van Persie, Robben, Huntelaar Romania: Lobont, Tamas, Rat, Ghionea, Contra, Chivu, Nicolita, Codrea, Cocis, Niculae, Mutu Only boulahrouz & engelaar from the last game? Its still a very strong team, wouldn't mind seeing romania get a result though. But come on you dutchhh. |
