The first leg is where? Anyways unless Barca have a major turnaround, I think unfortunatly Utd is on to the final. Ill be pulling for Barca though. |

Hmmm... who do I "root" for? The team that thinks they have a God-given right to every single one of our players and who would quite gladly break my heart into thousands of little pieces for a THIRD time... or the team that are there, year-in, year-out, fecking up our title campaigns (well, we do that ourselves, really :rolleyes: ), and who I would like to drown in a pool of pizza mush? Decisions, decisions. I think I'll probably just bake cookies and get fat watching some ditzy chick flick over these two legs. I can't decide whether an all-Engish final is a good thing or not, though. |

All i know is that Ill feel alot better seing Titi in the final then Ronaldo. Not that its going to happen though, I think I might just go bake cookies with Marnie during both Semis. |

Haha, choice words Marnie. :rolleyes: We don't drown that easily in pizza mush. And come on...really...wouldn't it hurt you more to see Theirry lifting the trophy for Barcelona instead of Arsenal than seeing that boy Ronaldo you all hate lifting it? At least he means nothing to you...:P |

I would LOVE a Man U-Liverpool final! Except the crowd control would be dreadful. But still, it would be a classic final. Would love it! I really really hope we win midweek! Ah! I hate Barcelona so much! |

Im soooooo excited about this match!!
:D I hope we can get a win in Barca or at least a goal draw. Barca haven't been playing great lately but they rested some of their players on saturday so they will be up for this game. Henry misses Barca training Illness forced Thierry Henry to sit out training on Monday as Barcelona continued their preparations for Wednesday's Champions League semi-final clash with United. The former Arsenal striker was suffering from a fever and now faces a race against time to be fit for the first leg at the Nou Camp. Lilian Thuram also missed the morning session after being given time off by the club, but was due to train on Monday afternoon. Fellow defender Jose Edmilson has a slight back strain and spent time in the gym working on his fitness. Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho and back-up goalkeeper Albert Jorquera are both injury absentees, while skipper Carlos Puyol is definitely out of the first leg as he serves a one-match suspension. However, defender Oleguer Presas has been given the all clear to return after recovering from a hand injury. So how do ye think United and Barca will line up? I think we will play a 4-5-1/4-3-3 Hopefully Edwin will be back in goal. :D The back four picks itself - Wes, Rio, Vida, Evra. I think we will play Carrick, Scholes and it's a tough decesion between ando and owen but i think if owen is fit he will get the nod as he has played so well lately and he has more experience. I usually dont like this formation but we dont want to get overrun by Barca in the midfield. It's difficult to see who will the front 3 be. Perhaps we will stick with Ronaldo up top on his own with rooney and park on either flank like against roma. both will need to track back regularly and ronaldo/nani dont do that much. Then again we could go with rooney on his own, supported by ronaldo and giggs/nani/park or tevez up front with rooney and ronaldo. the possibilities are endless! For Barca they wont have Puyol so who would play..thuram? i think it will be xavi, yaya toure, iniesta in midfield and ett'o, messi and ? will henry play or will bojan? i think henry will if fit. |
