I really like watching the Bundesliga, I think they have the best fans in Europe, the atmosphere at the matches are fantastic and the stadiums always seem packed. Ive been told that if I go to Germany then I should definatly go to a match because its one of the best football experiences in the world. Plus Ive heard the tickets are alot cheaper to buy, so you also save alot of money for a great experience. One place that always impresses me when I watch is the Veltins Arena where Schalke plays.

yey, finally got our bundesliga thread :D
I honestly feel you are the only one who i can talk to about German football. No one around here in Wales talks about it, or infact likes it. I hate it as i feel the need sometimes to say "oh, did you watch that game" or "did you see that goal" or whatever so its nice to finally have someone who i can talk about German Football to.

The Frankfurt keeper today...jeeze, was a bad day at the office for him. He made 2 bad mistakes which Hamburg were able to score from meaning they lost 4-1. Then Bochum beat Leverkusen and Leverkusen were on quite a good run.

Why can't Bayern just lose? :wallbash: The gap is still 4 points, they just wont seem to mess up, or when they do lose Werder seem to lose too!
Dont like where Nuremburg are either, they were fantastic last season this season they're just not as good and in the relegation zone, i like Nuremburg too so i dont like seeing them there.

Seeing as this is bundesliga i feel i can add something in about the 2nd division in the Bundesliga.

What a season it is for that league, its really really close and all the teams really are giving it their all for promotion. If you look at the table just see how close it is

http://www.bundesliga.de/en/liga2/tabelle/

Monchengladbach i feel will probably go up as they've got a decent side but then as for the other promotion spots from 2-8 they're still all in it. May be hard for 1860 as i cant see all the ones infront of them losing for them to get to that promotion spot but its possible. Come on Koln!!

Kem, thats actually a good website for Bundesliga news/reports everything really. Its the offical Bundesliga website but the good thing is they have it in english too so if youre like me and dont understand German its a good website to read about match reports on it.

Thanks, that site is really good. I didnt realize how close it was in the 2nd division, but like you said Mönchengladbach will likely go up, and thats a good thing to me, I like to see the big teams in the top league, like I was rooting for Napoli and Genoa to be promoted last year in Serie B. From the other teams theres none that I really favor but it will be interesting to see who goes up.

Its going to be really interesting to see who gets into Europe next year too, and what tournement they get into. Karlsruher have been extremely impressive this year I really am shocked they are still in position for European football, but I dont know if they will be able to keep this up and personally I hope Schalke gets in more lol. I dont think Bayern are going to slip up enough to lose the title (jinx!) but I would love to see either Bremen or Hamburg grab it. I like Leverkusen as well so its nice to see them up there too. In my perfect world the league would end up like this: 1. Werder Bremen 2. Hamburg 3. Schalke 4. Leverkusen 5. Bayern, lol but thats not going to happen.

I really want to get some kits from the Bundesliga, or scarfs preferably either Bremen or Schalke. They are my favorite teams, and they both have nice kits.

I think we are probably the only people on here who watch the Bundesliga, or even follow it (at uni i get no footie lol so i just read the results) but I really dont get why. I mean I understand alot of people dont have time, but if I do the Bundesliga is definatly one of the best leagues to watch, like I said the best fans and they play some good football too. Next week I have spring break so Ill get to watch some then, yay!

Yeah, so the promtion for who will be in 1.Bundesliga next season is really good and you don't hear much about it as here its just all the main divisions, you know, they just talk about La Liga's first league, Serie A and not B and its the same with Germany just their first league and not 2.Bundesliga, its rather annoying as although the teams aren't as big they certainly are just as good and the 2nd league in Germany is proving that.

then the fight into EUrope is certainly exciting too! But oh no, i'm happy where Schalke are now :ph43r: I dont really like Schalke. or i hope the table finishes how you put it, but tbh all i care about is that Werder are top!

I think it is just me and you as ive not seen anyone else talk about it. But oh well, its someone to speak to it about. But yeah, it certainly is a good league to talk about and well as i said even the 2nd league is just as exciting as the first. I really do like Bundesliga now whereas a few years ago i didnt.

When I started watching the Bundesliga I would usually watch Werder Bremen and Bayern(to root for the other team), but after a while you realize how great a league it is top to bottom pretty much. I really started to like Schalke last year, I liked their kits (lol dumb reason i know) the blue really looked good, i like their manager, and they play great football. Plus their fans are fantastic lol. Basically thats why i like Schalke lol.

As I said in another threat I´m a fan of Bayern but I was born in Schalke and therefor it´s my 2nd fav team!!
I don´t like other teams just some players...
I hate Nuremberg and of course, just as any other Bayern fan, 1860 ;)

I like 1860! Sven and Lars Bender! Just because of them two though...there cool  and they're twinnys. They do so well the other week against Bayern, i was watching the match and i actually felt gutted that they conceded a pen in the last min of extra time, so horrible.

Yeah, I watched that game with a friend of mine (he is 60 fan) and I have to say that wasn´t a pen at all!! And the ref shouldn´t have decided that way! I didn´t want us to win this way!! :(
But we deserved to win! we had so many chances (and the scene with lucio was a pen)
Now we have to play Wolfsburg and our former coach!

Mario Gomez has basically said he is going to leave Stuttgart this summer. The kids 22 and is a wonderful player, would benifit anyone who bought him. Apparently Milan, Juve, Fiorentina, Real Madrid, and Chelsea are all interested.

Chelsea can keep their hands off him!!!!! I like Mario alot, he really has improved and is dooing really well. A young age and such good talent and he if he carries on the way he is he can be something really really good.

Talking about players linked the Real i saw this...

Quote:

Diego is set to agree to join Real Madrid next term and now the Spanish club must negotiate a transfer fee with Werder Bremen if they want to complete the deal.

The Brazilian midfielder looks set to leave the Bundesliga club as he is no longer seen as the idol he once was and is said to have agreed to move, according to Welt am Sonntag.

Werder will demand a fee in the region of €30m for the player that they bought for just €5m from Porto in 2005, but Madrid are expected to agree to that.

According to the report, Diego has begun to feel uncomfortable at Werder and would like a change as he has never truly settled in Germany or taken to the food.

The most important reason, however, is that his circumstances have changed from where he was a year ago as the team have fallen away from the top places i the league.

"We had high hopes this season and it is a bitter feeling not to obtain any of it," the player was quoted as saying recently.

After Werder's UEFA Cup exit against Rangers, even sporting director Klaus Allofs said that this time Diego had to share his part in the defeat.

Many of Europe's most affluent clubs are said to be interested in the midfielder, but he is believed to want to go to Madrid next.

Hes always linked to them  :( Dont go Diiiego! Pleaase not to them!

Then Diego said...in answer to that....
Quote:

Diego: Werder Will Have Final Say On My Future

Brazilian playmaker Diego insists that Werder Bremen are in sole control of his future in the face of reports that half of Europe is after his signature.

The audaciously talented 23-year-old only put pen to paper on a new contract, running until 2011, earlier this season, but that has done little to dissuade the interest of the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.

"The decision lies with the club," Diego said in his most recent interview. "If Klaus Allofs and the president say that I stay, then I play on for Werder."

"Speculations and rumours are normal in the football business, which annoy me.

"The only thing that bothers me are lies that are disseminated."

Werder bought Diego for just €4m (£2.5m) from FC Porto in 2006 but could earn up to ten times that by selling him on.

Just what ever he does please dont go to Real. Dont leave Werder just yet, pretty please!

Yes, i think you get my hint that i think hes cute.

Hes only 19, He has been Stuttgart II's first-choice goalkeeper but In January 2008 he was promoted to the first team of Stuttgart. He made his first team debut on February 9, in the 3-1 loss to Hertha and earned his first victory as the starting goalkeeper on February 16 against MSV Duisburg.

I would love to see more of him each week!

All big teams slipped up this weekend.

It was nice to see Podolski score though, was a good finish too.

If Klinsmann wasn't going to Bayern next season i could have seen Podolski leave in January or even the summer but i feel with Klinsmann taking charge he'll actually play Lukas more.

2.Bundesliga
FC Koln moved into 3rd today as they won 3-1 Automatic Promotion spot...we're coming back up! :D Well still all close in that league so it can all change.
