I was about to include a poll, but I'd rather not narrow it down.

I would choose a German player, but I'd admit Roman Pavlyuchenko has been outstanding so far for me.
He's just a team player. :$

Edit: I've changed the title of the thread since the tournament's over and there's no point starting a new thread.

Not enough games yet really to pick someone, but I'd say Arshavin even though hes only played 2 matchs hes been fantastic and has lead his team to victory when they needed it.

Sneijder had been fantastic but since holland are out hmmm. Agree with kem aswell, arshavin has been excellent, only playing two matches aswell, it says it all really when hiddink had him in the squad when he knew he may only be able to play one game.

Sneijder for me.
I can't really think of anybody else who stands out that much. :-/
Lahm and Fritz have been pretty good.

I can tell you two who haven't though!
Mario Gomez and Luca Toni.

Sneijder was invisable against Russia, they totally took him out of the match, and Arshavin totally outperformed him, which is why i picked Arshavin over him. Sneijder was really good in the group stage though.

Geez, I'm not being biased but does anyone else think Cesc could have had a shot at Player of the Tournament if he had started every game?

I guess he's become the Super Sub. Now makes me think of Subway.

He could still make it as player of the tournament imo. He may have come on as a sub in most of the matches, but he has played pretty damn well when he has come on.

i think he still has a shot. he phenomenal yesterday. it depends on how he plays the final. it doesn't matter that he didn't started every game, i read somewhere that he has played more minutes than Xavi and Iniesta.

yeah i think he definatly has a shot, depending on how the final goes. No player has really stood out throughout the whole tournament.

If Germany wins, I bet you that they will give it to Micheal Ballack.
If Spain wins...I have noooo idea.

Got to be Ballack, he's been immense, no question.
Iniesta has been good too, so he could win it.
