Norway and Canada won in women's football. Norway beat United States I was surprised by that.

Oh I feel sorry for Diego and Lionel. :( Their clubs need a kick or three in the bollocks to bring them back to their senses. Eugh. Makes me more angry than anything!

It sucks for brazil, losing two of the most experienced young guys aswell. I bet dunga isn't best pleased since Brazil haven't won gold.

Can you imagine if all clubs decided they didn't want their players to go?

Congrats norway & canada!

And now, in the continuing shite saga of "will they, won't they?" of Diego and co., the clubs have decided that, hmmm, with a few mill in their pockets and their own release of the player from any insurance for injuries sustained during the Olympics, sure, why not let them play?

How sick are FOOTBALL CLUBS THESE DAYS?! UGH! Why does every single damn president/manager/owner in this world ONLY care about the money?! YEesh, if all the money in the world burned up today, I wonder what these people would do with themselves.

I'm gonna try to stay up and watch the match (comes on at 2.00am here), but don't know how well that's going to pan out  I remember the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan; I can't even count how many all-nighters I pulled that month

Japan lost to US, apparently from my sources, Japan deserved to win, and no, I'm not being biased. I don't actually give a hoot, and I'm amazed to see I don't really care who wins. Australia drew with Serbia. I think Serbia deserved it though, but bleh. The standard of this Olympics is boring.

But I agree, football in the Olympics tends to be boring.
