So, what do you think? I always thought goalkeepers get left out when people talk about these things, it's always strikers or midfielders! I voted Given. I think Cech is probably the best overall, despite recent mistakes, but Given has been a great keeper for years without ever having the quality defence which the other GK's have. |

eh, id vote other if that was an option, i dont think any of the EPL keepers are as good as say a Casillas or Buffon where they are pretty much always brilliant. Alot of PL keepers imo make too many mistakes here and there and are too inconsistent. I guess out of the people listed Id say Cech, but if I was onto PKs Id take Reina ;) lol |

I agree with Kem. No-one can touch Casillas and Buffon. Cech is the best in the prem imo.Has been for a few years now. |

This'll sound biased cos he plays for my team, but absolutely van der Sar. Whereas Cech can get his head done in by things that go on in the match and lose his focus, van der Sar is absolutely essential and when you look at him in the matches, he's always calm, collected, and knows what he is doing. And this isn't team bias, if you put Kuszack up there against those other keepers, for example, I wouldn't vote him. I don't feel as comfortable when he's in goal for us. But with vdS in goal, I feel safe and I know he'll do everything right. :) I realise it sounded like I was slagging off Cech and I didn't want it to sound like that. I meant that Cech is another very good keeper in the league and in fact, I'd count him as second behind vdS, so sorry if anyone thought I was saying he is a mess or whatever. i think van der sar is past his prime, hes still a good goalkeeper and all, 2nd best out of those choices imo, but i dont think hes as good now as he was a few years ago. if we were judging on their whole careers instead of just the present, then id say vds. |

Not just being bias but Cechy for me! He's had 100 clean sheets in 180 games for us which i think says it all. He wins us games and will still put he's body on the line dispite the injury he had a few seasons ago. I love him. |

Well Joe Hart and David James have been put in there and they haven't exactly been that great this season so far??! :blink: I think Almunia has been pretty good for Arsenal so far this season, so just wondered why he wasn't on the list. :unsure: |

I put James because he has been a great GK for years, especially last season, and well Joe Hart because I got the idea off another forum where these were pretty much the options, apart from they had Reina also. |
