From Friday I'm going to be visiting my cousin who lives somewhere... South? I think. I'll be back home around the 4th of September, but until then I'm not going to be checking the site as often and some of those checks may be made from his Wii, which means what I do... do may be limited.

On the bright side, my cousin, my younger sister and I will be kicking Rabite on Secret of Mana and possibly Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time. I think we've moved to co-op games because I always beat them both at SSBB, Mario Kart, etc.

Sad fact: the computer-controlled ally AI is better in SoM than FFCC.

Sad Fact #2; No one has, nor ever will, make games quite as great as Earthbound, Secret of Mana, and Secret of Evermore.

Thanks.

Quotes of the week:

"Oh, he sucks Naruto's Kyuubi power." - my cousin, when shortened to...
"Oh, he sucks Naruto-" by me and my sister laughing like idiots.

"I have wet stools." - yours truely, about a wet stool (as in chair).

FFCC is a nightmare to play when both of my dear relatives are item hogs and my cousin has no sense of "not dying". Brawl has seen almost no play after I continued to dominate for another year running. Various Naruto beat-'em-ups have shown my cousin only has a chance of winning when he uses a super-character with huge, fast attacks like Nine-Tails Naruto, CS2 Sasuke or Drunken Rock Lee and only when I use an underpowered character (Konohamaru Corps, go!) That, and CyberConnect2 make a surprisingly good PS2 beat-'em-up (gameplay-wise), especially when compared with Ubisoft's 360 efforts.

Is this Ultimate Ninja? Because I've actually heard good things about it.

Ultimate Ninja is fun, but if you want something even better, get the Accel Series. Its japanese, but the gameplay and graphics are far better, and it includes the latest additions.

Don't buy UN 4; I didn't-- the graphics sucked.

Shikamaru's Shadow Possession dance alone makes any of the Ultimate Ninja games worth it. Or at least worth Youtubing for the Jutsu animations. My cousin also also has the Wii games which make Shino plain kickass.

So, after being almost completely movement locked by Kyuubi Naruto for most of my gaming time, driving anywhere but the track on (or off) Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road and being lucksacked to death by a Junk Synchron deck I built for my cousin while using an incomplete deck myself, I'm finally back. Yay.
