I'm going to be going for the first part of my A+ cert tomorrow. This is the first cert I'm going for in the IT field, and it requites you to know stull that isn't even used anymore (like stuff from windows 95 and 98. Who really uses those anymore?)

Wish me the best of luck. I've got 90 minutes to finish it once I sit down.

lol. That's one way to put it.

I'd probably use some sort of dragon related creature, I'll gove you that. Maybe I'll have Wingman as a back-up to the Blue-Eyes.

Good news and bad news.

good news- I passed the first part (220-601) of the A+. Now all I have to do is either pass the 602, 603 or 604 to become certified.

bad news- I scored lower then I wanted. there were 20 questions I had never even gone over. thanks to that, I got a 78.

Still, I needed a 75 to pass. Passing by the skin of your teath isn't great, but its still passing.

Good luck!

Remember: there are few problems that can't be solved by giving orders that end in "Or Die". Just something to keep in mind if you're having trouble with some of your examiners.

Good luck! (I missed the first part of the thread X_X)

Seriosuly, why do a test on outdated stuff? It's like teaching Latin, no-one speaks it anymore!

Kinda pointless, but I'm sure there's relevent stuff in it... like Latin has some relevent stuff.

(One of my pals learns Latin...)

I shall also give my best wishes for your success.

By the way, Allosawyou2... Learning about outdated things is not pointless. The more you know, the better you will understand the things around you. You know, kind of like what people are taught in history classes.

Of course, those are only my personal thoughts... :P

Good news 1- I passed. I am officially A+ certified.

good news 2- I am talking from my new computer (which I was finally able to get together). It will take a while to get all of the stuff from the old computer to this guy...but...hey, I got the OS on the thing (I'm going to put XP on this thing twice, as well as Server to keep my head freash with the stuff. The 2nd XP is when I use Partition Magic. Great piece of software.)

Great job on passing the A+! That should really help you out if you sign up for any computer-related job. Enjoy your success and have a celebration or something!
