The husband of a friend of my mom is fighting for his life. Now, he's had it rough. He's fought cancer, had a heart attack...just to mention a few. Wel, recently, he came down with flu-like symptons and tried to fight it by himself. Then he wasn't breathing well, she he was rushed to the ER and was found to have 1 lund flooded. Also, through blood work, they found the enzyme found after you had a heart attack. That was this morning. Shortly thereafter, they put a tube in to help him get oxygen. Better safe then sorry. Every time they did an x-ray, though, they found that his other lung as fulling up with more and more fluid. Presently, my mom and a few pastors from our church are by their side. There's been no word on his present condition. And I think you'd know what would happen of both lungs flood.... Please, pray for him. UPDATE: He has double namonia and Influenza A. He had a confirmed heart attack and they're treating him like he has Swine Flu. He's in horrible shape, people. 2nd update: The fluid inside his chest is gone, but he still has namonia and Influenza. He's got a machine that's doing the breathing for him to take the stress off of his heart. He's presently in critical, but stable, condition |

That is really unfortunate, that he gets all those things at once. I hope he pulls through, don't worry, we're here for you... over our computers. |

Good news. Last night he was doing better. Oxygen intake was 85%. And now the bad news. No mom just texed if they put the pacemaker in. Text she got back was. 'No. Color not good. oxygen 65% (aka, they're pumping 100% oxygen, but his lungs are only using 65% of it). Blood pressure 70 over 140. heart rate 155. Giving stuff to help, but only lasts for a short while.' This isn't looking good.... |

Oxygen in low 70s. Heart won't last at that level. Please pray for him... |

I am no good at dealing with tragedy, nor am I the kind of person who tells people “I'm sorry.” But I do feel for you, pardon me if I seemed insensitive. |

My condolences. Life often gets in the way of checking this forum, understandably. But still. My condolences and prayers. |
