Yet again, we filled in for the now deceased [#mLw] in a match, this time against Blood Tribe. It was 6v6 Gravelpit, and at the typical time of 6:30PM. This time however, we struggled to get a group of six together without Nolan with us. In the last few minutes we managed to pull in Ghost, Eric, Versus, Jspace10, Erzhik and I, and as you can see none of us are particularly good at Scout, a key element of TF2 matches. I played it on offense...of all people, and can safely say I didn't add much to the team. But, I still had fun because the match was relatively close. No one actually failed to cap the final point, but they did outcap in time. There was typically 7 or 8 minutes on the clock when they capped, but only 6 when we managed to do so. It's hard to say if we learned anything as a group, but I feel as though I improved while playing defense (as Soldier), guarding Erzhik and Ghost at B. At first I instinctively went out to combat the enemy, but by the end I was more conservative and did a better job of keeping the others alive. Definetly one of our better scrims, Gravelpit is a fun map. Let's hope that Badlands is equally exciting and used in competitive play. BT: 1 TC: 0 Maybe that will change soon! |
