Not us. But, it's not a big deal. We didn't have our best lineup, with SirLamer, Brad, Jspace10, Elshender, Monkey With A Gun, Erzhik and I we faced Defragged once again on Labor, with 7v7. We weren't very organized, and without someone like Ghost to lead us, we fell apart quickly. I was forced to make the calls on when to push and retreat, and as some of you know talking on the mic is way out of my comfort zone. By the third round, we were able to hold the final point for five minutes or so and even push them back. But we weren't coordinated enough at that point, and none of us knew each other's skills well enough to beat them. The final score was 4-0. But we decided to keep playing and have some fun on Dustbowl where we were a little more even. But...they still won. ;(We did however, improve during the evening, and it was a little more valuable then the scrim with dm. #1: We need Ghost, or we suck a lot, #2 Squads will help tremendously and #3 Cheesus is really cool. dF: 2 TC: 0 |

yeah we kinda sucked on labor, I hate this map. And for some reason I was lagging couple of times. But I think we did pretty good on dustbowl, just didn't have that "something special" to get the last cap. Their Heavy did a lot of damage in last 3-4 min. We definitely need to organize some even squads. I think we need to get all playing TC members on server and practice together and figure out who is playing what class once and for all. |

You guys don't really need me, someone just needs to take charge when you get in there and make the basic calls. There's nothing special about me

Actually, I think you're wrong. We talked about this at the end of the scrim and a lot of us feel you're far more effective at making the calls because we all trust your opinion. If anyone wavers from the decision making, things go downhill fast. That's why we need you, because we all know you'll make the smart decisions. |

No, I said fall back when they were midway capping and half our team was dead. If we continued to push, more of us would die and they would just move cleanly through our next point. Lets not use this forum to be critical of others, please. |

Here's the deal, we lost in labor for one simple reason. They had a better tactics for taking the center. In the diagram below the strategic points are in green. You will notice the ground around the center cap is not. That's because soldiers shooting up are worthless unless you score a direct hit. Anyways, here's what they did. Heavy/Doc - they were probing left and right side of the upper left tunnel. Demo - controlling the upper right window Soldiers - one was always on top of the upper left containers Scouts - they were going through the lower left house and looping around going back up through the lower right house, after Brad got the sentry up they were just running around the middle taking the health They switched up the scouts a few times with demo/soldier/doc.

They also had it right by not trying to cap immediately, instead trying to gain the numbers lead by killing us and forcing us to retreat so they could safely cap. It's the same principle as Well. |

Nah, what I really said is that we needed to elect someone to be the leader and agree to blindly follow his or her directions so that we remain aligned and very responsive to changes in conditions. This person doesn't have to be Ghost, but only because Ghost has done it so many times we all just naturally know that Ghost will fill this role without ever saying anything. Also, I do agree that yelling "FALL BACK!" every time someone attacked our cap point was not the greatest of strategies. A strong offense serves in itself as a defense as well, since your opponent's resources are tied up dealing with you instead of capping. We kept nicely moving back for them and re-forming our defense, which is hella lame. |

What's the sense in pushing if its just futile? If they have twice our numbers, the chances of us running in and stopping them are slim. They'll just have an even greater advantage. Scrims aren't played like pubs, we need to be more conservative and patient with our attacks. Attacking as a group is key, and 'group' implies all, 6 or 8 of us. |

Let's focus on the good stuff here guys. Monkey put up a dy-no-mite diagram there, and for that Monkey, we thank you. Let's get diagrams for some of the other maps and see what we can come up with. I have a few ideas that I'll toss out later once I finish my freaking Destructoid article. |

After that match on Labor, I'm under the firm belief that a strong Sniper perched upstairs taking shots out the window would have smoked dF. |
