Their revenue will come from in-game advertisements. You can sign up for their beta here: http://www.quakelive.com/ Did anyone here play Quake 3, and if so, what was it like? Seems like the new trend will be to make free games supported by ads that a lot of people can play. Battlefield Heroes, and now this.

Needless to say I mopped the floor with them. It was glorious.

I'm boycotting that game though because its such an obvious rip off of TF2.
