Our third match against SHOCK began late tonight at around 11:30. The participants included Cheesus, Erzhik, Eric, newcomers Bardak and Kyle, as well as myself. The last match I played against SHOCK was around a month ago, during the week where we scrimmed nearly every night, practicing for CEVO. They were able to defeat us without much trouble. The second match, I missed out on, but Erzhik informs we beat them pretty easily. Tonight's scrim was on Gravelpit, most likely our best map. We used 2 Soldiers, a Scout, a Sniper, a Demo, a Medic and our Scout alternated to Pyro occasionally.

The scrim began with us on defense, using the typical demo + scout go A strategy. It didn't work out so well, and they quickly rolled through A and B. On C, we managed to be more successful and held them off for 2 more minutes. We finished with 4:30, which is not terrible, but not good either. On offense, Cheesus made the bold move and had us go B immediately while he went A. Unfortunately, that backfired on us and we forget to have Cheesus check for stickies, which got Kyle killed. We recovered from our loss and moved on, but we were a little muddled and didn't move well as a group. After seeing Cheesus go A, they sent resistance to stop him and he did not capture A immediately. At one point, we killed the B defense and were a split second away from capturing the point when they rushed in and killed us all. By that point, we had A and moved onto to B to take it finally. With 40 seconds left on the clock we captured it and all sprinted to C...where we rocket jumped up and captured it, taking advantage and their lack of defense.

The second time around, Kyle and Bardak seemed more adjusted to 6v6 and we managed to hold them off in total for 5:30, a significant improvement. On offense, Cheesus once again asked us to use the same strategy as before. Going to A, Cheesus encountered even stiffer resistance from enemy Scouts. With 3 minutes on the clock, we became highly disorganized, and didn't plan out our tactics well. We managed to get a lot of progress on the B capturing, only to be stopped by Demos and Scouts. It seemed that they had adapted to our strategy from last time and it started to crumble on us. Finally, Cheesus stood alone on A and captured it, but the timer ended and we lost that round.

At this point, they called GG and left to go fight in another scrim.
