Music is an art form consisting of sound and silence. Elements of sound in music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, structure, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.

The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and sub-genres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within "the arts", music can be classified as a performing art, a fine art, or an auditory art form.

Music may also involve generative forms in time through the construction of patterns and combinations of natural stimuli, principally sound. Music may be used for artistic or aesthetic, communicative, entertainment, ceremonial or religious purposes, and by many composers purely as an academic instrument for study.

This topic may be used & can be added on for those who wish to add their insights on music.

For me music is an art that can sometimes make me feel deeply, want to work harder, relax me, etc. All of us have different likes & differences of what we like in music. I like of soundtracks of movies, television, soft music, full orchestration, etc. I like the 50's music along with some music that I do hear that is more modern.

Music affects all in different ways & not every kind of music is liked by everyone so we have many many many kinds of music in our world.

Music can indeed have a great power because it creates energy, we have sad music, very rythmical music, spiritual music like the Gregorian Songs or the Gospels that create a very different energy yet are both aimed at the Communion with God and praying, dance music gives our body the energy to move and usually brings us joy, very harmonic music like Back which gives serenity...
It is interesting to notice that each Chakra of our body (the Chakras are energy doors) is linked with a different kind of music, only our 7th Chakra (Crown Chakra) is linked with silence.
I think the Force uses music as a way to express itself, like all the Arts, but music has a very immediate effect.
