I am currently in a private, christian school where everyone's nice and all that good stuff. Next semester I'm going to be a freshman in highschool though. I feel like I should go to the local public school because there's more people to help and witness to. Actually it's been on my mind for quite some time, but the unfortunate truth is I want to hang on to my cozy, nice little school where everyone gets along, but I know I shouldn't. There's more good to be done in a public school and will you guys please pray that God will give me the courage to carry out his will? Thanks ~Padawan Adi |

I will definitely pray for you, Adi-Qui. And here is a quote I just ran across a couple of days ago that you might find interesting about Jedi Padawan Darsha Assant from the book, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter: "For nearly as long as she could remember, Darsha had been coddled and cozened in the Jedi Temple, protected from direct contact with the dregs of society - an ironic situation, since the Jedi were supposed to be the protectors of all levels of civilization, even those considered untouchable by most of the upper classes. True, elements of her training had taken her to various rough neighborhoods, but nowhere else had she seen anything that even remotely compared with this. It horrified her that such poverty and neglect could exist anywhere, let alone on Coruscant." Not a direct corelation, but the basic idea is there. |

Very nice quote Master Kai. Update: I told my Mom and Dad and I found out that the only way I'm going back is if they give us a 90% discount since Mom's on staff. So we'll see what happens. It's also interesting to note that when I finally got the strength to say it was the day before registration was due. Coincidence? I think not. So we'll see what the principle says about the discount. Thanks for your prayers guys :) |
