Lesson Two Stance Training Post you progress in your introduction topic. I can hold the Stances for approximately 7 minutes And i can always increase my time. I am finding it not easy but not hard either. For my Martial Arts class i have to hold various stances for 5 minutes so whithout me being used to them i would only be able to do 2 minutes, ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lesson 3 Basic Stances Post your progress in your introduction topic. Sei Ping Ma is fairly easy since it is like riding a horse and i go Horse-riding every other sunday. Which gets me use to the feeling of the stance Bow and Arrow stance is Fairly easy since we do this in my Martial Arts class and i have to practice it. Cat Stance is fairly easy but i need to work on one of the commen mistakes which is i don't bend my back leg enough . Gam gai duk laap ma is very easy for me since before i went to martial arts and found out it was a martial arts stance i used it to learn how to balance better. Unicorn Stance is The Hardest since i make a lot of commen mistakes such as Leaning forward and Heal of the rear foot touching floor but if i practised it more i am confident i will get better since practice makes perfect. |

Quotes assignnment 1 Why did you choose to be a Jedi? I chose to be a jedi so i could gain some deeper knowledge of the Force which would help me to help other people in need of help. How did you recognize the Jedi Way as your Path I just had a feeling at first when i was at rjk but then i had a feeling that the jedi is not my path and i would have to keep looking but during my abscence from being a jedi. I realised how it makes me a better person and more able to help other people. and then i returned here just knowing that the jedi way is my path. |

You made a great work, my Padawan. I think it is good you had the experience of thinking the Jedi Path wasn't for you, then understanding that it is. I believe it will make your commitment stronger. Master Silmerion |

Discipleship, based on the Beattitudes, Lesson One 1. As a follower of Christ, what does it mean to be humble? Being humble means that we do not put ourselves forward to be noticed. We do not expect to be rewarded for whatever good that we might do. We give credit where even the slightest amount is due. How can we practice humility? A jedi can practice humility by putting others first when we can. By staying in the background unnoticed if you dont need to be. We can practice humility by not comparing ourselves to others. When we do something wrong and its your fault accept the blame instead of putting it on others and learn from the mistake you made. 2. As a follower of Christ, being humble means recognizing that we can do nothing without God. Recognizing that we, in our finite human wisdom, do not have all the answers. How do we live our lives by this? Without God we would not be on the earth today and God decides what we do as humans and how we do it. When i left the jedi community, My brain told me to go back but i think that it was gods choice to send me beack to the jedi way. Only God has every answer and we can learn without God as a part of their lives and they end up alone and confused. When we are stuck if you have faith in God you can ask for advice and counselling and learn from God's choices. whenever i am confused about important choices i ask God, am i making the right choice. God is always there for people and is a light in the darkness. God has been with me throughout my life and i hope to see God when my time on earth is over. 3. As a follower of Christ, being humble means seeking to know God’s will and giving thanks for all His many blessings. How might God make His will known to us? God might make his will know to us by a number of ways, he will normally be persistant by sending you signs and prodding you until you listen. God could make his will known to us by giving you a feeling or a sudern change of mind. He could send a message through people you are having a coversation with. He could send a message when we do meditation and when we pray. Since we do not fully understand God there are many ways he can make his willl known and it could be different for every individual person. 4. As a follower of Christ, we are to take no pride in national allegiances, denominational ties, or other worldly associations. How can we refrain from taking pride in our worldly ties? I don't really understand this but If you do not boast or promote your wordly ties and you are humble then there will be no reason to take pride in them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discipleship, based on the Beattitudes, Lesson Two A disciple mourns 1. As a follower of Christ we mourn for our own failure to truly follow God. What can we do about this lamentable condition? We Mourn about our failure to truly follow God but we are Humans and Humans are not perfect only God is perfect. As a Human we will never truly follow God we always fall short of following God. We can sort it out by trying to do our best to help other people and by following God's will. Sometimes we over react and mourn about things that were wrong but we just didn't ask God for the advice to put us in the right direction. 2. As a follower of Christ we mourn for those whose hearts are hardened against the love of God. What can we do about this concern? Unfortunatly there is not much we can actually do, But we can pray that find a way to connect to God. We can try to teach people and help them see, That God is with them and hope that they take in what we see. Its like when jesus explained about seeds being scattered where some people will listen and then accept God. Others will here what you say try to commit but will give up on their faith. Some people will be distracted by material possessions so much they completly ignore God. We can pray and hope that people listen or find their own way to connect to God. 3. As a follower of Christ we pray and do good for our enemies. We pray for those who persecute us instead of seeking vengeance. Are there practical ways of doing this? It is practical because God is better at judging people than i am. God will decide what happens to them. One of God's commandments was love thy neighbur. If i had to work or talk with my enemies i would be Polite and civil. And in time i might see their prespective of things and try to show them my perspective of things. If i cant get them to see from my point of view about God then i will have to leave them to God's will. 4. As a follower of Christ we strive always to live the good news of Christ for all to see. How did you shine your light in the world today? Today i helped my nan come home from her check up at the Hospital. Got her a cup of tea and did various jobs around her house and cut the grass for her. Since she had hurt her leg i helped go around one of her friends house like she normally does on a wednesday. |
