Assignment 12
Life as a Jedi to me is a life of purpose and service. We must devote ourselves to the Force and to Master Jesus. A Jedi is compassionate and selfless. A Jedi keeps a strong hold on his emotions, and does not let them influence his actions. A Jedi is humble and does not serve in order to surpass others. A Jedi meditates and prays each day in order to learn the way of the Force and the will of Master Jesus. By doing this, it clears the Jedi's mind. A clear mind enables a Jedi to better serve others.

Assignment 1
1.How does a modern day Jedi differ from the Jedi as portrayed in the Star Wars movies?
The Jedi in the Star Wars movies frowned upon attachment:to materialistic things as well as people. Though we should not let our feelings get in the way of our duty, it is impossible for a modern-day Jedi not to feel love at one point in his life. The Jedi in the Star Wars movies also took matters into their own hands when Palpatine rose to power. In the case of the Jedi as portrayed in the Star Wars movies, this could be rendered acceptable. The Jedi were a government-supported organization. Though it is important to have a place in our nation's government, modern day Jedi are not necessarily called upon to arrest corrupted legislators.
2. How will you apply being a Jedi to your everyday life
I will apply being a Jedi to my everyday life by serving God and others, and helping out people wherever I can. Some ways that I can do this are: serving people at a homeless shelter; serving a friend in need; donating clothing, food, and water; praying for those in need; helping an elderly person; and befriending friendless people.
3.Is being a Jedi just a hobby or something fun to do, or is it a part of who you are 24 hours a day?
Being a Jedi is part of who I am 24 hours a day. It is a way of life.

Padawan Lesson 2
One characteristic that I need to work on developing is self-control. I will intend to do this by meditation and prayer. I will meditate to help me control my frustration and anger. I will pray that God will work in me and give me self-control. I will also train myself to let go of negative emotions.

Padawan Lesson 3
Horse Stance- I held this stance for 7 minutes. During the stance, I did Reaching for the Sky a few times. At the end, my muscles ached, but in a way, I felt energized, like I had gotten stronger.-6/13//08
Tiger(Pike)Stance- I understood this stance, but I need to work on getting a bit lower. There was about a foot between my straigtened leg and the ground. Otherwise, I'm okay on the stances.-6/16/08
Leg Techniques- I think I greatly improved on my Roundhouse and Reverse Roundhouse kicks. I used to not have a clue what I was doing. I do need to work on getting my legs straighter.-6/16/08
Blocks- I think I pretty much have the blocks. I am more sure of how to block than I used to be.-6/16/08
Tiger(Pike)Stance-This time, when I did this stance, there were only 5 inches between my straightened leg and the ground.
Sweep- I have to get more flexible so that I can do this fluidly. I think that I really need to practice this. -6/20/08

Padawan Assignment 4
I felt much more balanced and relaxed when I was doing the exercises. I felt energized, calm, and passive. I usually do these every morning to jumpstart my day. It really helps me to be less tired.
