I like your way of seeing things and how children could be useful to help with such a situation. It is always good to remember that though they have less experience than adults, they can teach much and do much, especially to help other children. Good job, my Padawan! Master Silmerion |

Excellent answers Jan-Qui, you're doing great. You are right, sometimes kids can find out more about other kids. Your answers show a strong understanding of what it means to be a Counselor, good work. I agree with Master Silmerion and you, that kids can and do teach a lot. You just need to listen, good work. |

:) ***bows*** A most humble thank you. I suspect my knowledge of having read all 18(I think) of the Jedi Apprentice books that have Master Qui-Gon & Padawan Obi-Wan plus the fact that I was a grade school teacher & taught 1 &2nd grade for 33 yrs might have given me the choices I gave :) . As Master Yoda told Master Obi-Wan in AOTC, when Obi-Wan was puzzled by not being able to locate the missing planet---the young Padawans figured out his problem almost instantaniously, Yoda's not in exact words: "wonderous are the minds of children". I felt when he said something like that, that even Yoda was impressed with children's thinking. I've also found that children, no matter what their age---because of their innocents---see through things that we adults have pushed way back to some shadowy place in our minds. Children usually cut to the "chase" as one might say because they want to know---now. Children live in the now or present. We adults have to re-learn how to come back into & live in the present moment. Of course that means that we adults have to take the time to stop, listen, look, trust & consider what a youngling might wish to say. So sadly in this day & age some adults do just the opposite. |

Hope this isn't disruptive, but just wanted to jot a quick note to also welcome you as I haven't been around for a while. Am also a Catholic Christian Jedi and older than a lot of people in Jedi sites. I believe I'm 44. Though it's possible I'm 45, but I think that will be in May. In any case, welcome to the site! |

:) bows Greetings Annafea Not disruptive at all. Pleased to meet you. As far as age goes I still think I've got it--hee hee hee. Not a problem---when you're a Jedi age doesn't really make too much of a difference. Anybody older then a Youngling has a bit more wisdom(joking)---ooops I forgot I started out here AS a Youngling :D . I'm a Youngling at heart. Now I'm a Padawan Learner--always learning something new :D . I'm always ready to meet new Jedi :D . May I please ask where you are located at? I'm in the Midwest of the USA. |

COJK---PADAWAN LESSON 11---GENESIS The story of Creation 1. What does this mean to you? God created everything. After he created the earth, animals, trees, etc. He wanted someone who could enjoy living in his creation that was like himself. This means to me that God is LOVE. He wanted to share his love so he made man in his image. He wanted man to share in HIS creation that he made out of love. I also think it’s sort of mystery on to itself because God didn’t need anyone around. 2. Does it matter? Does it matter to me? Not really. I figure if God wanted to do all of this he had his reasons & I’m one of the blessed ones that he is permitting to be living in his creation. Are you happy that you exist? Am I happy that I exist? Sometimes yes & sometimes no. Why, or why not? I sometimes do wonder why God put me on this earth & then I get the thought that God put me on this earth for a reason to do his will & sometimes it is very hard to tell what his will is. When I’m following his will then I can say I’m happy I exist in his world because I feel very much at peace. Though there are times when doing his will it is very hard to do, I balk & even argue with God about doing it—he has more patience with me then I do with myself & he usually waits me out or sends me something to get his point across, after I’ve done his will & look back I see the path that he was leading me down & I understand. But when troubles come & I’m at a loss on how to deal with them, then sometimes I wish I were not here, for example: when my husband passed away---I really was ready to be with my husband but I then realized these problems are sent to me for a reason to test my love for God, who made me. He always sends us our ups & downs for his reasons, not ours. He IS THE MASTER, no matter what anyone else may think. He KNOWS what he’s doing---he just doesn’t like to tell his creations what’s on his mind. So I shrug my shoulders & simply say ok God your will be done. 3. Why do you think God created man? God created man in his own image because he wanted to give the gift of life & love because he is love. I also believe he wanted to share that love with those he created. 4. Do you think that God cares you? I do believe God cares for me because I feel & see it in everyday living within my family & friends & things that happen around me. I know he makes sure we have food, air, shelter because he guides me to get the right things for both myself & my family. He’s given me a beautiful world to live in. He sent me a very wonderful husband to share my life with for 34 ½ years. Does God love you? God does love me because I was born & I’m living in his created world. He is the creator & I’m a person he created for his purposes here on earth. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 2:25 The story of Adam & Eve 5. Why do you think Adam and Eve weren’t ashamed even though they were naked? Adam & Eve were created in the image of God & they were without any sin of any kind so everything around them was perfectly natural & they were at one with the will of God. 6. What do you think it was like for them living in the Garden of Eden? What was it like--well in my imagination I think one would have to try to think of what the happiest day of ones life & how they felt & see that everything around you in complete harmony with you & nature. Every animal, no matter what kind was your friend & the beauty around you would have to be the most majestic, fantastic place of beauty & peace one could imagine. They didn’t have to work except to look after the animals & plants around them & they did with so much energy they didn’t need to rest often & could eat almost anything in the garden. What kind of relationship did they have with God? They could see & talk with God daily—complete trust & honesty---just like we can see & talk with each other. They were part of him as he was part of them. They had a closeness which can we can only imagine. They knew they were his creation & accept his will without question. 7. Is there anything that you want so badly that you would do anything to get it…even something wrong? NO --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 6:5-9 The story of Noah & the flood. 8. What do you think it means that Noah “walked with God?” Noah had integrity amongst all those who knew him. Noah always did the right thing no matter what was going on around him. 9. What are some things that cause violence? Some things that can cause violence are anger, pride, greed, jealousy & other things Read Genesis 8:13-22 10. What is the first thing Noah did after coming out of the Ark onto dry land? Noah built an alter to God in Thanksgiving. 11. Why was this important? It was so important because it showed to God that Noah was putting God 1st by worshipping & thanking him rather then thinking of his,(Noah’s family) 1st. Noah was recognizing God as his creator & master. Read Genesis 9:12-17 12. What agreement did God make with man and every living creature on earth? What is the sign if this agreement? The agreement was that God would never again send such a flood that would cover all the earth that would kill every living being. The sign of this agreement was the rainbow. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 12: 1-3 The story of Abram aka Abraham, Isaac & Jacob 13. If God said this to you, would you have the faith to obey? Or would you stay where you are? If God said this to me then I would obey. 14. What do you think it means when it says, “all the peoples of the earth will be blessed through you?” This means that through Abram’s descendents the Messiah, the Son of God, would be born. In that way all the peoples on earth would be blessed through him. Read Genesis 16:1-6 15. What happened to Abram’s faith? Abram’s faith was tested to see if he was going to keep faith with God. God promised Abram a son & made Abram wait many, many, many, many years before the promise was fulfilled. Abram continued to have faith in God that the promise made to him would be fulfilled, though God had to reassure Abram at different times that the promise was true. Read Genesis 22: 1-18 16. What is the significance of this story? The significance of this story—the story of Isaac---is the ultimate test of ones faith in God. That there is nothing on this earth that is more important then God & we, his creations owe everything to him & have to willing to sacrifice everything we hold dear no matter what to him. He’s the Master & Owner of the everything in the universe. Does it seem fair to you? As a human at 1st it seems very unfair to give something one has promised to another & then ask for the item to be given back, but this has nothing to do with fairness, it is An ultimate proof of our complete loyalty, devotion & trust in God. He gives & he takes---he’s in charge no matter what we may think or want. He makes the final decision in all things. We humans so many times do not think like God thinks. 17. Look at verse 5. What do you think this means? Abraham had complete trust in God—Abraham figured God knew what God was doing. Read Matthew 10:37 Do you love your parents more than you love Jesus? no In order to follow Jesus you need to love him more than anything or anyone else in the world. Do you have the faith to do that? yes 18. Who are the three “patriarchs” we have read about so far who are ancestors of Jesus? Abraham, Isaac & Jacob ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 37 The story of Joseph 19. Do you think Joseph did anything foolish? Possibly strutting around in his new coat of many colors---if he suspected that his brothers were jealous of him. 20. Why did Joseph’s brothers sell him into slavery? They were jealous of him because his father seemed to love him the best. Read Genesis 39 21. Why did Potiphar put Joseph in charge of everything he owned? Potiphar put Joseph(who was at 1 with God) in charge because he saw that Joseph was good, honest & had proved himself to be good at the job Potiphar wanted him to do. 22. Why do you think this might have been? Potiphar, was angry at the report his wife gave him about what Joseph supposedly did but Potiphar probably suspected his wife of having something to do with the problem that was caused. Potiphar also liked & trusted Joseph. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What kind of character do you have? Everywhere you go people are going to judge you by what kind of character they think you have. Are you trustworthy and dependable? yes or at least I hope so Do you keep your promises? yes I don’t make promises I can’t keep Do you do the right thing even if it is difficult? yes Do you make the most of your time in pursuits that will build your character or make your future easier? Most of the time Are you a hard worker? yes Or are you lazy? no Do you always look for the easy way or try to get out of things? Yes & no---it depends on what the thing is that I have to do. Sometimes the easy way is the best way & if not then the the hard way will have to do. Do you put things off? Yes & no again it depends on what is going on around me—then sometimes putting things off is unavoidable. Do you waste time sleeping or playing video games? no ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 41 23. What happened to Joseph as a result of him being a man of character? He became the head man beneath the authority of Pharoh & helped Egypt during the famine crisis. Which will you choose? God comes 1st. Read Genesis 42:1-7 24. How do you think Joseph felt seeing his brothers after so many years? Surprised & yet happy & wondering if they had changed in all the years since he’d been away. [COLOR] Do you think he was angry with them? No because he had already forgiven them—but he did test them to see if they had changed inwardly, were ashamed & realized what they had done. He had to find out whether they were willing to suffer themselves rather then hurt another again. Read Genesis 45:1-8 Could you honestly see the good in such an action? Probably not it would be very upsetting & wonder either how I got into this problem & wonder if I would ever get out of it. I would have to leave everything in God’s hands. |

COJK PADAWN LESSON 12—EXODUS 1. Do you trust God to take care of you? Why, or why not? I trust God to take care of me because he has done so all my life. He’s either sent someone to help when I least expected or he’s guided me through reading something that has enlightened me to see things a different way. I know he still wants me to do my best to take care of myself but he also guides my actions to what is right. It’s up to me to choose whether to listen & follow those directions. Read Exodus 2:11-15 2. What was Moses trying to do in verse 12? Moses was attempting to do justice, which he thought he was doing but it was wrong what he did & defend the Hebrew. 3. But what happened the next day? Moses came back & saw 2 Hebrew fighting & stopped them from fighting themselves & tried to stop them. Why do you think this happened? He was found out that he did something wrong & his guilt was brought into the light. He couldn’t hide from what he had done. Read Exodus 3:1-6 4. How would you respond if you heard someone calling your name from a burning bush? Be terrified most likely since bushes don’t talk----usually. 5. God told Moses that He (God) was the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob) —all Hebrews had a deep respect of the God of their ancestors & He (Moses) probably could feel the power & inwardly knew here was someone much more powerful then he was as a human plus the light from the bush must have been blinding. God also told him that Moses was on holy ground. Read Exodus 3:7-14; 4:1-17 6. What kind of excuses does Moses make about why he shouldn’t be the one to free the Israelites? He was a shepherd, they wouldn’t listen to him, he was banished from Egypt, he was not a good speaker, who was he that Pharaoh would listen to him?, how were the Hebrews going to believe him? What the Hebrews won’t believe me? 7. What is God’s response? I Am Who Am. That Moses would use his staff & God would put the words into Moses mouth. 8. Have you ever made excuses to God or to others about why you can’t do something? Are they accurate, or are you just afraid or unwilling to do something? I’m sure everyone has at one time or another. I know I have because I didn’t want to do something. I’m tired, I don’t feel good, I have a headache, etc. Read Exodus 7:8-12 & 19-21; 8:5-6; 16-17 & 20-24 9:1-6; 8-19 & 22-26 10:12-18 7 21-23 And all of chapter 11 9. What were the Ten Plagues? water turns to blood, frogs, mosquitoes, gadflies, death of Egyptians livestock, boils, hail, locusts, darknes, death of eldest son in each Egyptian house. 10. What did the Israelites do to keep their first born sons from dying? smeared lambs blood on the doors--lintels Read Exodus, chapter 12. 11. What are you the most thankful for? Being alive, belief in God, being able to wear a Jedi costume, still working on it yet. Read Exodus 13:1-2 God laid claim to every first born male born to the Israelites. This is because he saved all of them from death. 12. When Jesus came he died for all people. Do you think this means that we all belong to him? Yes Why or why not? He is the Son of God & we are his brothers & sisters. He died for our sins & redeemed us. Read Exodus 14:5-31 13. Look at verses 15-18. Discuss what you think God is doing here. He’s testing the Isralites to see if they have the faith to trust that he will take care of them. Read Exodus 15:1-21 14. Think about what God has done for you. He has allowed me to travel safely, have successful shoulder surgeries, be mobile, I can still walk on both my legs & feet. How will you celebrate? Besides saying thank you---Still in planning stage Read Exodus 16:1-3 15. What should you do the next time you are tempted to complain? 1st remember to count to 10, breath, say the Jedi Code & hope I keep the complaint to myself. It would also depend on what the complaint was going to be about----in some actions the right complaint at the right time can then help the other person. Read the rest of Exodus 16. 16. The people were given manna to eat. What do you think it was like? Sweet bread with lots of vitamins. How would you like to have to eat the same thing at every meal for 40 years? That could become very boring but you’dhave to learn to be very VERY creative on how to use it for food. Read Exodus 19 & 20 17. What are “The Ten Commandments? 1. I am the Lord thy God, You shall have no God but me 2. You shall not make no graven images 3. You shall not take the Lord of God in vain 4. Keep holy the sabbath day 5. Honor thy father & thy mother 6. You shall not kill 7. You shall not commit adultry 8. You shall not steal 9. You shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor 10. You shall not covet thy neighbors goods 18. How do you keep the Sabbath? I go to Church & then either relax at home doing a fun hobby I don’t have time to some other time. Sometimes we get together & go to the mall to go out to eat & just enjoy walking around, It varies from Sunday to Sunday but Church always comes 1st. I also take the time to do some extra prayers. Read Exodus 31:12-18 & 32 19. What in your life is more important than God? No or nothing. If I want to do something or get something I usually ask God 1s if it’s ok. When I decided I wanted to be Jedi I asked God 1st if it was ok with him & if he wanted me to move forward with with my idea. He would have placed obstacals in my way if he didn’t want me to do it. Also he would have bothered my conscience about it also. Read Exodus 40 20. Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior and asked to be filled with God’s presence? yes |

:) bows & thank you I did skip one which is another Jedi site summary but that will be coming after I make sure I have all my "lightsabers aka ducks" in a row. <_< Also as far as the last lesson for Padawans in Part 1 are concerned---that I already have in practice & have had for several years. So I believe I still have to get Deurteronomy done(it's almost done), the Jedi Code--working on that one & the lessons for Counsulars(haven't started those yet). I think. Am I missing anything that is needed please? Otherwise thank you. Actually I'm happy :D I've been taking the time out to review all this. It's been helping in other ways for me as well. I'm just fortunate at this time to be able to spend the time to get this done. It's been relaxing & has been very good for me to focus on. My positive energies are getting a chance to rebuild & renew themselves after having gone through hectic election season, house sorting out & caregiver problems. Studying about improving being a Jedi has helped give me back my calm center which was kind of rough around the edges & needed renewal. I really thank my Master for her patience & positive attitude with me. I also thank Master Kai & forgive me Atreyu--(still can't remember for sure, whether you are a Master here or not  ) for your imput as well, it's been much appreciated. &&&................................... now onto the next ones ;) :) :) Some people have told me I have a sense of humor & some people have told me I'm so very serious :( ---both  hopefully are true. Some people think Jedi are so serious :( but Jedi can be happy :D also. I had to have a sense of humor since my husband was born on April 1---for those who don't know it's April Fools Day. He teased & cracked jokes on a daily basis. I can't crack a joke. I also know that God has a sense of humor because I've had that experience. One of my favorite pictures of Jesus is of him simply laughing. When I get the chance I'll take a picture of it & share it with everyone. &&&....................................2nd time is the charm, now onto the next ones :) LEVITICUS & NUMBERS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COJK LESSON 13 LEVITICUS Leviticus 1:1-7:38 1. Do we still need to offer sacrifices to God? NO Today we do not need to offer sacrifices to God. Why? Because Jesus has already been sacrificed for us. He is the only one perfect enough to be offered for the sins of the whole world. No other sacrifice will ever be needed. Anyone who accepts that sacrifice on his or her behalf will be forgiven Read Leviticus 4:3-7 2. Have you accepted Jesus’ sacrifice of his life for your sins? YES Why, or why not? I’ve accepted Jesus sacrifice of his life for my sins because he is the son of God. Read Leviticus 5:7 3. How will you show God’s kindness to those who are poor or suffering? I usually give away clothes after I’ve gone through them & I’ve sent in $ to help assist some different groups. Since I’ve got a bit of disability I have to do it that way. Read Leviticus 10:3 4. How do you show respect and honor to God when you are with your friends? When I’m with friends I speak respectfully with proper language. I dress appropriately with respect to my body because God created me & it his temple. If the subject of God does come up in conversation we discuss him with reverence. Read Leviticus 11:1-47 5. What things in your life distract you from God? Actually, as an adult, there isn’t too much that does distract me. But some of the tv shows & music are very distracting. When I see some people & how they dress. 6. How do you think God might change your attitudes about those things if you let him? God gives me more patience to deal with everything & sometimes things are so distracting that one has to take some time to speak about it just to get it out into the open. When I see people who dress not properly—God helps me by giving the strength to avoid looking at them. Read Leviticus 13:1-59 7. Have you ever had a contagious disease? Yes 8. What did your doctor tell you to do about it? My doctor gave me the medication I needed for it so it got cured. Read Leviticus 18:1-3 9. When someone tries to pressure you to do wrong, what should you do? Tell the person you have to think about what they are talking about. Try to persuade the person that what they are thinking of doing is wrong. If the pressure continues & the person will not see reason then I will simply have to say no & accept whatever happens---might lose the friend or whatever the person who was doing the pressuring might decide to do to get back at me. 10. If all of your friends are going to do something that you think might be wrong, should you go ahead and do it so you will fit in? NO Why, or why not? This is something that I know the young really have to deal with. Young ones feel they need to fit in & that is a problem that they face. I myself deal with the fact I’ve got to live with my conscience. If people don’t like it that is their problem. Read Leviticus 19:18 11. Has your brother or sister ever done something that made you mad, so you got even with them? I don’t have any brothers or sisiters, instead I have other members of my family that can do the same thing. I didn’t get even. I did talk to some people to help me get through it so that the problem got aired out & with time forgotten. 12. How did you feel afterward? I feel it’s not worth having the bad feelings that getting even will produce. It’s not easy to do but I’d rather let it go. Read Leviticus 19:32 13. This week find an older person, a grandparent or church member is good, and make arrangements to spend some time with them, getting to know them. You might be surprised at how much you learn. ok How do I answer this one since I’m older? Hhhhmmmmm. I live with 2 older people in my own home & I’m as respectful as I can be. Sometimes they do come up with some pretty good ideas that I haven’t thought about. I do listen to them. Read Leviticus 20:6 14. Who would you go to in order to get Godly advice when you have a problem? Why? I go to my Priest at Church if I need Godly advice about a problem if it’s in a religious nature. Otherwise I have a few friends, who are much like me & I will “bounce” problems off of them to see what they think. When all is done then I make my decision on what I’ve learned. I pray, meditate & think about the problem—usually time sorts it all out for me. Read Leviticus 23:1-3 15. What can you do to improve your preparations for Sunday? Be a bit more rested. For me it’s a week by week decision because I do not know what will happen day by day. Read Leviticus 26:3-13 16. What do you think your life might be like if God turned away from you? empty, possibly hopeless Read Leviticus 27:30 17. How will you do your part to share with others? Help out St. Vincent De Paul—an organization that helps the poor, donate whatever I can to help those in need. Again I take it time by time. If I’m able to do it, I do. We had a school fair where I was able to share time keeping the younglings entertained as a Jedi while they got prepped for school. *********************************************************** COJK PADAWAN LEVEL 1 LESSON 14 NUMBERS Read Numbers 3:10 1. Do you consider it a privilege to be able to go before God in prayer? Yes & No Why, or why not? Yes because I received the blessing of being baptized Catholic & learned about God & No not a privilege—I think it’s because I do prayer everyday that it has become a daily habit—It is simply what I do. I trust in God as my Father & as a little child would talk to their father or at least a do my best to try to. Children don’t think of talking with their dad as a privilege, it just something that is natural to them to do. I think of privilege as something that one does on at a rare time or when the time is right you have the chance to do it finally. Read Numbers 4:1-49 2. Are you doing your share? I do what I can. Do you help to keep your Sunday school classroom neat and clean? This does not apply to me 3. In what other ways can you serve? I’m partially handicapped so I’m limited in what I can do. I support my Church on a weekly basis. 4. How would you like to serve in the future? It would depend on what I’m able to do in my limited capacity. Read Numbers 7:1-11 5. Do you tithe? YES 6. How can you serve God? I Serve God everyday by doing his will in my daily living. Read Numbers 12:1-16 7. The next time someone criticizes you, stop and think about it. If there is any truth to what they are saying acknowledge it. If not, just let it go. God will stand up for you if you stand up for him. I’ve had to suffer through an extreme experience of this & I let God take care of it. I did discuss it with some friends who understood the situation & that helped me a lot. I came through it just fine. Read Numbers 13:1-14:45 8. If the crowd decides to disobey God, will you be willing to take a stand for God? I stand for God. How would you do it? I would tell them I have to let my conscience guide me, & I would attempt to persuade them to the right thing by making suggestions as to what they were doing wrong. If they were stubborn then I’d have to tell them to let their conscience be their guide & that I would pray for them. Read Numbers 18:29 9. How can you give the very best of your gifts back to God - whether it’s money, talents, time, or the stuff you own? By doing the best I can with the gifts I have when I work with others. If I’m giving things away to help others, making sure the things look good, work & can be of use to someone else. Helping those, if I’m able, with money for depending what it is & not expecting payment back, unless they wish to give it back & in the time of their own choosing. Read Numbers 20:1-13 10. Do you think God withholds blessings from us if we sin? Depends on what the sin was about---there are little sins & big sins. God is the judge. There are always consequences for our actions. What might they be? Well for sure one blessing that we would lose would be our peace of soul, no matter what size of sin we did. When we do wrong & we know we did wrong & we are sensitive to our conscience, it can feel like we are in actual pain. Read Numbers 22:1-41 11. What could God do to get your attention? He usually does something quite unexpected to me & yet I know he sent it. Read Numbers 23:19 12. Have you ever promised someone you would do something, and then didn’t do it? I usually try not to promise unless I can be sure of following through, but when I was very much younger it did happen to me very sadly. How did it make you feel? I felt very bad almost sick. To this day I still remember it. Though now it’s simply a very sad memory. How do you think it made the other person feel? Most likey the person felt bad also & very sad that the promise wasn’t kept. If you tell someone you will do something, it is very important to do it. Read Numbers 27:12-23 13. How do you show respect for your leaders? My Paster I greet & shake hands with at Church. I would also talk with him if he wished to. Other leaders I would greet, be polite & talk to them in a civil manner depending on what their office was. This is even if I didn’t like who they were or what they stood for. 14. Is it ever all right to disagree with your leaders? Our leaders are people & they do make mistakes because they are not perfect. If done in an orderly, polite manner, it would be fine to disagree with our leaders & we would hope we could persuade our leaders to do the right thing for the good of all. Our leaders should be grateful for disagreements depending on what the disagreement was on so that it could be resolved in a friendly manner that would be best for all those it concerns. |

COJK PADAWAN LEVEL 1 PART 1 LESSON 15 DEUTERONOMY Read Deut. 1:16-18 1. Do you tend to treat your friends with more fairness than those you don’t know or don’t like? No. Though sometimes the thoughts do cross my mind to do so. I have to make sure I stay fair. Read Deut. 1:32 2. Do you trust God? Yes in all things Read Deut. 2:24-36 Think of the biggest kid at your school. Suppose God told you that he would give you something that kids owns. All you have to do is tell him of God’s plans. 3. Would you do it? Maybe a youngling would have to be persuaded that way but an adult would not need to get that. It's hard to picture God doing something like that but I can think of a possibility which I'd rather not put down here, anyone to tell someone else of God’s plans. If the person didn’t want to do it & God WANTED the person to do it, God would do it differently, not exactly sure how but he'd find a way that would work. If it came down to would I do it for God then & there was really no way out then most likely I would & trust that God would guide my words & my actions. How do you think that kid would react? Depends on the youngling. 1st not at all happy to have something of theirs taken away to be given to somebody else & most likely wouldn’t listen because of it. If the youngling was receptive to what is going on then maybe the youngling might listen. Read Deut. 3:21-29 4. What kinds of consequences have you had to pay for things you did wrong? It depends on what you did wrong. If something small then it would be a small consequence—maybe just a scolding. If something much bigger then there could be money exchanged or service rendered or even a harder punishment for the offense. Also I'd have a very guilty conscience & have to make right in some way for the wrong I did. Read Deut. 4:15-20 5. How can we find out what God is really like? Look at the world God created: the birds, flowers, mountains, earth, volcanos, waters. When one really looks at them you can see the majestic, soft, colorful beauty of it all. The earth is good. Look at all the people, especially the ones who are happy & that is another way to see what God is like. Read Deut. 6:4-9 6. How have your parents helped you learn about God? Actually it was my Grandparents who taught me the most about God. They went to Church, they prayed, they shared, they taught morality, right from wrong. They listened & talked to me. God was all important in their lives. My Grandfather would make the sign of the cross, tip his hat when he’d go passed a Church & I still do that to, to show respect to God. Also he’d say a prayer when going on a trip as we started out & I also continue with that tradition for the trips safety. 7. What will you do to remember what they said? Listen & repeat what they taught me. Which I do. Read Deut. 8:1-20 8. How much time do you spend with God every day? Probably not enough---I think it’s about 1 hour for sure & more inbetween times. God is usually not very far from my mind most of the day. Read Deut. 10:12-13 9. What do you think that you need to do in order for God to help you find your destiny? Pray, listen, try things that you are talented in to see if they are right for you. Ask for help & talk about what you think you like to do. Read Deut. 14:22-23 10. How much are you willing to give to God? Usually whatever he asks. Read Deut. 22:1-3 11. What do you do to help take care of the earth and all of the animals on it? I recycle what I can recycle. I don’t have any animals any more. Anywhere I go I do my best to make sure trash is put where it should go. I respect the environment & appreciate it. I do have donated in the past to help the rainforest. I do listen to programs on how to help the planet earth. I have also planted trees in the past. Read Deut. 26:16-19 12. Are you following God? Yes I am to the best of my ability If not, what kind of excuse do you think God will accept when finally stand before him to give an account of your life? He won’t be accepting any excuses then because it will be too late. I’m hoping I will have done all that he’s asked me to do. I hope I’ve been reading his will correctly. Read Deut. 30:15-20 13. Do you want God’s help? Yes I do & always will need his help. He knows more then I do & usually proves it to me on a daily basis. |
