Wow, I'm sorry Mace. Hmmm, how do the sensations make you feel? What images do you see? How do the images make you feel? |

I experienced that the Force teaches me and everyone else new things, and brings us to discover what we are able to do and what we are meant to be. Through the Force i am one with myself and others |

COJK---PADAWAN LESSON 11---GENESIS The story of Creation 1. What does this mean to you? God created everything. After he created the earth, animals, trees, etc. He wanted someone who could enjoy living in his creation that was like himself. This means to me that God is LOVE. He wanted to share his love so he made man in his image. He wanted man to share in HIS creation that he made out of love. I also think it’s sort of mystery on to itself because God didn’t need anyone around. 2. Does it matter? Does it matter to me? Not really. I figure if God wanted to do all of this he had his reasons & I’m one of the blessed ones that he is permitting to be living in his creation. Are you happy that you exist? Am I happy that I exist? Sometimes yes & sometimes no. Why, or why not? I sometimes do wonder why God put me on this earth & then I get the thought that God put me on this earth for a reason to do his will & sometimes it is very hard to tell what his will is. When I’m following his will then I can say I’m happy I exist in his world because I feel very much at peace. Though there are times when doing his will it is very hard to do, I balk & even argue with God about doing it—he has more patience with me then I do with myself & he usually waits me out or sends me something to get his point across, after I’ve done his will & look back I see the path that he was leading me down & I understand. But when troubles come & I’m at a loss on how to deal with them, then sometimes I wish I were not here, for example: when my husband passed away---I really was ready to be with my husband but I then realized these problems are sent to me for a reason to test my love for God, who made me. He always sends us our ups & downs for his reasons, not ours. He IS THE MASTER, no matter what anyone else may think. He KNOWS what he’s doing---he just doesn’t like to tell his creations what’s on his mind. So I shrug my shoulders & simply say ok God your will be done. 3. Why do you think God created man? God created man in his own image because he wanted to give the gift of life & love because he is love. I also believe he wanted to share that love with those he created. 4. Do you think that God cares you? I do believe God cares for me because I feel & see it in everyday living within my family & friends & things that happen around me. I know he makes sure we have food, air, shelter because he guides me to get the right things for both myself & my family. He’s given me a beautiful world to live in. He sent me a very wonderful husband to share my life with for 34 ½ years. Does God love you? God does love me because I was born & I’m living in his created world. He is the creator & I’m a person he created for his purposes here on earth. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 2:25 The story of Adam & Eve 5. Why do you think Adam and Eve weren’t ashamed even though they were naked? Adam & Eve were created in the image of God & they were without any sin of any kind so everything around them was perfectly natural & they were at one with the will of God. 6. What do you think it was like for them living in the Garden of Eden? What was it like--well in my imagination I think one would have to try to think of what the happiest day of ones life & how they felt & see that everything around you in complete harmony with you & nature. Every animal, no matter what kind was your friend & the beauty around you would have to be the most majestic, fantastic place of beauty & peace one could imagine. They didn’t have to work except to look after the animals & plants around them & they did with so much energy they didn’t need to rest often & could eat almost anything in the garden. What kind of relationship did they have with God? They could see & talk with God daily—complete trust & honesty---just like we can see & talk with each other. They were part of him as he was part of them. They had a closeness which can we can only imagine. They knew they were his creation & accept his will without question. 7. Is there anything that you want so badly that you would do anything to get it…even something wrong? NO --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 6:5-9 The story of Noah & the flood. 8. What do you think it means that Noah “walked with God?” Noah had integrity amongst all those who knew him. Noah always did the right thing no matter what was going on around him. 9. What are some things that cause violence? Some things that can cause violence are anger, pride, greed, jealousy & other things Read Genesis 8:13-22 10. What is the first thing Noah did after coming out of the Ark onto dry land? Noah built an alter to God in Thanksgiving. 11. Why was this important? It was so important because it showed to God that Noah was putting God 1st by worshipping & thanking him rather then thinking of his,(Noah’s family) 1st. Noah was recognizing God as his creator & master. Read Genesis 9:12-17 12. What agreement did God make with man and every living creature on earth? What is the sign if this agreement? The agreement was that God would never again send such a flood that would cover all the earth that would kill every living being. The sign of this agreement was the rainbow. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 12: 1-3 The story of Abram aka Abraham, Isaac & Jacob 13. If God said this to you, would you have the faith to obey? Or would you stay where you are? If God said this to me then I would obey. 14. What do you think it means when it says, “all the peoples of the earth will be blessed through you?” This means that through Abram’s descendents the Messiah, the Son of God, would be born. In that way all the peoples on earth would be blessed through him. Read Genesis 16:1-6 15. What happened to Abram’s faith? Abram’s faith was tested to see if he was going to keep faith with God. God promised Abram a son & made Abram wait many, many, many, many years before the promise was fulfilled. Abram continued to have faith in God that the promise made to him would be fulfilled, though God had to reassure Abram at different times that the promise was true. Read Genesis 22: 1-18 16. What is the significance of this story? The significance of this story—the story of Isaac---is the ultimate test of ones faith in God. That there is nothing on this earth that is more important then God & we, his creations owe everything to him & have to willing to sacrifice everything we hold dear no matter what to him. He’s the Master & Owner of the everything in the universe. Does it seem fair to you? As a human at 1st it seems very unfair to give something one has promised to another & then ask for the item to be given back, but this has nothing to do with fairness, it is An ultimate proof of our complete loyalty, devotion & trust in God. He gives & he takes---he’s in charge no matter what we may think or want. He makes the final decision in all things. We humans so many times do not think like God thinks. 17. Look at verse 5. What do you think this means? Abraham had complete trust in God—Abraham figured God knew what God was doing. Read Matthew 10:37 Do you love your parents more than you love Jesus? no In order to follow Jesus you need to love him more than anything or anyone else in the world. Do you have the faith to do that? yes 18. Who are the three “patriarchs” we have read about so far who are ancestors of Jesus? Abraham, Isaac & Jacob ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 37 The story of Joseph 19. Do you think Joseph did anything foolish? Possibly strutting around in his new coat of many colors---if he suspected that his brothers were jealous of him. 20. Why did Joseph’s brothers sell him into slavery? They were jealous of him because his father seemed to love him the best. Read Genesis 39 21. Why did Potiphar put Joseph in charge of everything he owned? Potiphar put Joseph(who was at 1 with God) in charge because he saw that Joseph was good, honest & had proved himself to be good at the job Potiphar wanted him to do. 22. Why do you think this might have been? Potiphar, was angry at the report his wife gave him about what Joseph supposedly did but Potiphar probably suspected his wife of having something to do with the problem that was caused. Potiphar also liked & trusted Joseph. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What kind of character do you have? Everywhere you go people are going to judge you by what kind of character they think you have. Are you trustworthy and dependable? yes or at least I hope so Do you keep your promises? yes I don’t make promises I can’t keep Do you do the right thing even if it is difficult? yes Do you make the most of your time in pursuits that will build your character or make your future easier? Most of the time Are you a hard worker? yes Or are you lazy? no Do you always look for the easy way or try to get out of things? Yes & no---it depends on what the thing is that I have to do. Sometimes the easy way is the best way & if not then the the hard way will have to do. Do you put things off? Yes & no again it depends on what is going on around me—then sometimes putting things off is unavoidable. Do you waste time sleeping or playing video games? no ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read Genesis 41 23. What happened to Joseph as a result of him being a man of character? He became the head man beneath the authority of Pharoh & helped Egypt during the famine crisis. Which will you choose? God comes 1st. Read Genesis 42:1-7 24. How do you think Joseph felt seeing his brothers after so many years? Surprised & yet happy & wondering if they had changed in all the years since he’d been away. [COLOR] Do you think he was angry with them? No because he had already forgiven them—but he did test them to see if they had changed inwardly, were ashamed & realized what they had done. He had to find out whether they were willing to suffer themselves rather then hurt another again. Read Genesis 45:1-8 Could you honestly see the good in such an action? Probably not it would be very upsetting & wonder either how I got into this problem & wonder if I would ever get out of it. I would have to leave everything in God’s hands. |

younglin lesson 9 "You're familiar with the command to the ancients, 'Do not murder.' I'm telling you that anyone who is so much as angry with a brother or sister is guilty of murder. Carelessly call a brother 'idiot!' and you just might find yourself hauled into court. Thoughtlessly yell 'stupid!' at a sister and you are on the brink of hellfire. The simple moral fact is that words kill." Matthew 5:21-22, The Message This is so true words can kill and i think that i should stop calling my sisters names because i do it lot and i have never thought that it might hurt her becaues she does not seem to care at all but now i think that she really is hurt by them. |

You did a good job on Assignments 7 and 9, your answer to Assignment 12 is interesting too. Maybe you could take more time to meditate on the Code and the book of Genesis. Keep up the good work, Mace! Master Silmerion |
