If It is possible, I would like to become an ally off of "my" order for a while, and once we get back to normal, I think I might want to actually start my training here. And Yes, I am a padawan to Silmerion Skywalker, the best Master in the world at RJK!:P If you have any questions feel free to ask them. *Bows* Nakkali |

1. What do you think it means to follow the Jedi Way? I believe that it is someone who "executes" the force, or carries out the will of the force every minute and every hour of every day. I believe that to follow the Jedi way you need to sometimes od out of the line to do something that ordinary people cannot do every day, for the benefit of the galaxy 2. In your own words define the Force. What is it? How did it originate? How does it work? First off, I believe that the force is something that God Created. The force is a life form, but is clear and silent that is living around us everywhere. Again, I believe that God gave us the force when he gave us people and animals. Here is my Definition of the force works. The force is something that works to our self-councus and reacts on how we treat it (ex. Light/Dark) I actually remember doing most of these assignments for my master back at RJK. :P |

Go to the martial arts section. It is pinned in the Health & Fitness section of the lecture hall. Practice the basic stances. Of particular importance is the Horse stance. This is a basic grounding and stability stance. See how long you can hold it. Every day see if you can hold it for a few seconds more. I am able to hold this for upto 15 minutes, but only did it for 6. (my dad timed me) Before you can advance to padawan stage you need to be able to hold horse stance for 5 minutes. At basketball practice we hold this exact stance against a wall now a days the coach hates us and makes us do it on half court. First one to collapse runs 10 suicides. |

Younglings should be practicing the meditation techniques that can be accessed from the main page. Before you can become a Padawan you should be able to spend at least 15 minutes in meditation/prayer every day. I have looked over these techniques, and they look impressive. I have and am able to meditate for about 30 minutes every day. On the weekends I am trying to bump that up to around 45. I also pray every night before I go to bed. |

Assignment 5 One test to find out whether you have what it takes to become a Jedi Knight relates to your attitude toward service. You should start by doing at least one thing to help out around your home everyday, without being asked. Then you should begin to look for people in your neighborhood, church, town, etc. that you can help. Mow lawns, weed flowerbeds, clean out garages, even changing light bulbs can be a big help for some people. Finally, get in the habit of helping out wherever you can, and try to help people without them knowing about it. Let them be surprised. For this assignment write telling about the kind of things you have done and how you felt after you had done them. --------- I have recently been helping out with chores and things around the house for my mom, and dad because of the economy crisis. I have been doing things like running the sweeper, watering the plants, watching the dog, etc. Most recently about 3 weeks ago, my mom came home at around 6 very very tired from her new nurse position. I saw that the kitchen was a wreck. The seats were pulled out and there were food, and plates, and silverware still on the table from dinner. I also noticed that there were remains of food and ope containers in the kitchen. It took me about an hour, but after work my mom woke up and looked at the kitchen. She slowly turned around to me and said "Thank you" In a very sincere manner. It was really rewarding because she let me stay up about 30 minutes past my bed time. I was also feeling good because of her comment to me. I have also just done this for my dad a few minutes ago. He simply said thanks and kept walking. But I knew inside he was truly glad I did it. |

Assignment 5, the force Go to The Force page and practice "Feeling the Force" and "Making the Force Flow." The more you practice the stronger you will become in the Force. Post about your experience in your introduction topic. I have been experimenting with these techniques during my force work and have experienced a couple things. When getting to get the force to flow I feel a cloughing, or restraint of my arm, near my elbow. That is the only negative thing I found, and had 1 other thing which was "dots" (pricking) at my legs, That did not affect my force work that much. |

Good answers, Nakkali! It sounds like you may have a blockage near your elbow. And the prickling in your legs could be a sign that the Force is having trouble flowing smoothly through that area. At least that is normally what these symptoms mean. Have you read the information about the Force on the main site page? That is what we believe about the Force. It doesn't mean that you have to believe it as well, but I think it is the closest "biblical" definition. |

Here is why I think it is important to have good manners: (assignment 6) I think that it is important to have good maners if your trying to lay a first impression on someone. For Example, you could be having dinner for the first time at your girlfriends house or something. Now tell me, would you want to be nice clean showered, shirt nice, teeth brushed, and that. Or would you like to not take a shower in a few days, have your hair all messed up and such? It would be a disaster. It is also important to have good manners if you are going to meet someone like the president of a company for a deal. You would also want to have good manners if you are say, a Jedi Consular, or If you are visiting foreign people like people in india or China. You would want to look good and lay a good impression down first before anything else, so that they don't think that you are what your country represents. |
