I believe this is the question Master Silmerion was referring to. I changed your rank to youngling. |

Thank you, Master Ben. Sorry to my master for not understanding the question completely, and honestly thought I answered it in an earlier post but here goes: Master Kai, it IS Important to have good manners around even when your not trying to impress someone because that is the way they think you will act forever, so you must have good manners wherever you are in order to be thought of as, well acceptable to someones standards. |

I have....suprisingly been saying this prayer every time I spent the night a my grandmas house. She taught me this when I was 9 I think. our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name Thy kingdom come, thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors And lead us not into tempation But deliver us from evil For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory Forever. Amen. |

Assignment 9 I have meditated on these now, and actually I have been kinder and just a little bit nicer to really....all adults. Especially my parents. If they ask me to do a simple little thing I snap at them. Now I am just getting up and saying. OK, I will do that. |

Thanks, Nakkali. You are doing a great job. I only brought the question up because when I read your original answer you seemed to make a lot of references to having good manners so you can impress others. You can't control how others treat you, but you can control how you treat them. And if you want to be treated with respect you need to treat others that way. |

Youngling Lesson # 10 The Jedi Code There is no emotion, there is peace There isn't any emotion, there is peace. As Jedi we all learn to regulate and control the emotions that makes us what we are; human. We are human so regardless we have emotions, we just learn to control them. Emotions can be bad. Emotions like anger, fear, fury, hatred or passion can easily cause discontent with oneself. As Jedi we learn to put peace before emotion and to limit emotion out. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge This line refers to not being one minded. Have you ever seen someone close-minded? They are so tranced by themselves into believing what they want to be the truth. People that only view things one way, they absolutely refuse to see anything from a different angle or point of perspective that they become ignorant. The believe the one way they view something is the whole truth, right and that nothing else can prove their belief is wrong. However as Jedi, we cannot do that. There is knowledge and we can see both sides of something to grasp a full understanding. There is no passion, there is serenity This line is the most challenging for me to explain in a way. It refers to the fact that a Jedi cannot have certain emotional attachments, or anything passionate that gets into the way of the will of the force, and your duty as a Jedi. A Jedi cannot have such attachments because it causes you to lose control of yourself. It can lead do relinquishing self-discipline which can lead to you not being able to control your ambitions or your own obscurity. Instead of forming wicked emotions that will cause stress, you will be in a state of easy-mindedness. There is no death, there is the Force The practice that you have done all of your life you will become whole with. As Atreyu said, it does not mean that you die and keep on living. It does not mean immortality. You will be changed into one with the force once you become deceased, your body will cease function however your spirit, will not. Nakkali |
