I have completed my youngling assignments. Here are the results: 1. Jedi Basics Question 1: I think it means to help others and to follow God. Question 2: It's bioelectricity that flows through every living thing and is created by God. (Ex. Energy, Qi (chi), Kai) 2. Martial Arts I am in Martial Arts, I can hold the basic Horse Stance for around 15-25 minutes. I was also taught the basic stances that are listed, although some of them weren't basic in my style :/ some were advanced lol. 3. Meditation Meditation has begun part of my daily schedule from my training at RJK and in Martial Arts. I can almost meditate for 20 minutes straight :D (That is good for me) 4. Service The other day I picked up trash scattered throughout a mall, I also helped my brother find his I-Pod, I am polite to everyone I come in contact with, when I see some one who looks sad, I usually ask them what's wrong regardless of who it is, I have also recently been picking up trash in my Neighborhood. 5. The Force On the "Feeling the Force" excersice, I felt tingeling in and slight heat in the center of my palms, I could really feel the Force. On the "Getting the Force to flow" excersice, I can get it to flow very smoothly both ways because of my training at RJK. 6. Manners Here is my paragraph on manners: Good manners are a very important skill to have. They tend to show that you care. If the person you are speaking with thinks that you care for them, they will have much more respect for you in the long run then if they thought that you didn’t care. You need to be polite, patient, act very professional, be mature. Acting mature can pay off for you, eventually. If you act immature, you may lose an opportunity. Say you are going to apply for a job somewhere, and you are being rude, and cutting up at inappropriate times, the boss may think you are very immature, and not hire you. That is an opportunity that is lost. 7. The Books of the Bible Here are the Books of the Bible in alphabetical order: Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy Joshua Judges Ruth First Samuel Second Samuel First Kings Second Kings First Chronicles Second Chronicles Ezra Nehemiah Esther Job Psalms Proverbs Ecclesiastes Song of Solomon Isaiah Jeremiah Lamentations Ezekiel Daniel Hosea Joel Amos Obadiah Jonah Micah Nahum Habakkuk Zephaniah Haggai Malachi Matthew Mark Luke John Acts Romans First Corinthians Second Corinthians Galatians Ephesians Colossians First Thessalonians Second Thessalonians First Timothy Second Timothy Titus Philemon Hebrews James First Peter Second Peter First John Second John Third John Jude Revelation 8. Scripture Memorazation: Books of Bible (See above) The Lord's Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, Forever. Amen. 9. Special Meditation Scriptures: I have read these scriptures and meditated on them. 10. The Jedi Code I think the Code pretty much states that Jedi are humble, kind, selfless, and respectful. They put others before themselves. 11. Mindfulness Questions: 1.Has this activity helped you to stay mindful? Yes 2.Has it helped you to relax, and keep your focus on the here and now? Why or why not? Yes it did, it let me see the surroundings of the world as they really are, not how I want them to be. 3.What are some other ways you can work on being mindful? Be alert, so keep your cool and keep watch of what surrounds you. 4.How does being mindful help you as a Jedi? As a Christian? It shows me the beautiful world as God had created it. 5.Does being mindful help to increase your faith, and trust in God? Why or why not? As stated above, it shows me the beautiful world as God has created it. It also shows you how many people actually do follow God during their everyday lives. 12. The Life of a Jedi I think it is pretty much saying that the Jedi like to help others above themselves. To quote Anakin Skywalker in Episode III, "The Jedi are selfless." Jedi are humble and kind to most they meet. |

Do you realize that you have to be a Youngling for at least a month before being promoted to padawan? You should really post your assignments one at a time so the Council can check each one before you go on to the next. Also, I don't know why it is showing you as Matthew again. |

Ok :D Who are you? In real life my name is Matthew Womble. Schooling? Yes, I am in school. Where do you live? USA What are your interests? Martial Arts, playing the flute, skateboarding, video games, reading. Why do you want to be a Jedi? I wish to be a Jedi so I can help people who are in need. I love to help people get over their problems. When you think of a Christian Jedi what does it bring to your mind? A Jedi who follows the will of God in everything he does. I don't know why it says Matthew again, I didn't do it. |

:) Very Good Neeko, If you have any questions feel free to ask. You mentioned you were in school---what level are you at? or grade? do you have any favorite subjects? I saw that you said you like playing the flute---very nice? Do you have any special favorite pieces of music that you like to play. "The Magic Flute" comes to my mind when I saw the word flute. You live in the USA---May I please ask what area (west, east, north, south, midwest) ? I myself live in the midwest area. Martial Arts---what forms or styles do you like? Skateboarding---that takes lots of balance--the closest I've gotten to a skateboard is on the wii board & just from that I know it takes a lot of balance, which I'm improving on. |

I don't feel very comfortable giving away my grade...is that OK? But I do have a favorite subject...BAND!!! :D When it comes to the Flute, yes, I prefer a lot of Star Wars music, because it sounds really pretty and smooth if you can get the notes and melody to flow nicely. My favorite is Across the Stars, though, the Anakin and Padme song. :D I live in the....mid-southern area? South but not too south. I have been studying the style of Youn Wha Ryu, but I am currently searching for a new style because, when we were conducting a search for a new Head-Instructor for the school (I'm not old enough), no one wanted to come (I live in a small town), so I ended up being a higher rank then the instructor. Me = Blackbelt Him = Redbelt Yes, Skateboarding does require quite a bit of balance. What did you use? Did you use the Wii balance board or the new Tony Hawk: Ride board? |
