Amileiamae

Hello, everyone at the Christian Order of Jedi Knights. My name is Amileiamae, and I am a seventeen year old female who has completed her junior year of high school. I want to train and study here because as a follower of Christ, I believe that it is my duty to honor and follow him in all that I do. I have had my times of difficulties and I want to train so that I can better deal with the difficulties of life and to grow closer to the Lord. I do not know yet which Jedi path I shall choose, whether it be consular, sentinel, healer, or otherwise, but I will pray and trust that God will guide me.

Welcome at COJK Amileiamae!
You have time to choose your Jedi Path, indeed the first Path is chosen as a Padawan.
Feel free to PM me anytime!

1. What do you think it means to follow the Jedi way?

I believe that to follow the Jedi way means to live a life of service-to God and to others around us. It is to be devoted to what is right, and as it says in Micah 6:8 :"To act justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."

2. In your own words define the force. What is it? How did it originate? How does it work?

The force is a tool that God has given us to use for good. It is an ability that can be learned, and I believe that it originated when God first created the Earth. It works through us to accomplish what God would have us do in our time here in this world.

Thank you, Master Silmerion. I went through the second Youngling Assignment, and found it to be very beneficial. It is almost as if the changes I was expecting to experience during my Jedi training are already happening to me. I will work on holding the horse stance for the required five minutes and practicing the martial arts positions.

Greetings Amileiamae,

Welcome to COJK. I am Master Jan-Qui Coran. I've been away on mission & have just returned.

You did well on your 1st assignment. :) I can tell you that from what you are already discovering being a Christian Jedi does help one to improve oneself. I know it has done much for me, as Master Silmerion can probably verify.

May I please ask where are you from? We all have such different time zones since we are international. I am from the mid USA & Master Silmerion is from Italy.

May I also please ask you to phonetically pronounce your Jedi name---it is very pretty but I'm not quite sure how it should be pronounced---
Thank You
May the Force be with you aka MTFBWY

Hello Master Jan-Qui Coran. Thank you for your positive comments. To answer your first question, I too live in the U.S. but in the state of Texas in the coastal plain region. My Jedi name is a combination of names- the first two parts, from the Star Wars characters Amidala and Leia. So I think that phonetically it would be pronounced AM-EE-LAY-A-MAY.

:) Thank you for that. I was way off in my mental pronunciation of your Jedi name. Very pretty.
I know I am also a cluster of 3 names from Star Wars.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thank you both Master Silmerion and Master Jan-Qui. I'm happy that you like my Jedi name-I was trying to think of something that would symbolize a new life for me, something that I could grow into. For the fourth Youngling assignment, I did an act of service yesterday that involved looking after half a dozen children for my parent's party that lasted three hours. I had a lot of fun doing it as well.

You did a great job with these children!

I think the choice of the Jedi name is important too.

Thank you Master Silmerion. I did the fifth Youngling assignment on feeling the Force and letting it flow and I felt the strangest sensations. At my current stage, it feels delicate yet I can feel the strength underneath. Even as I now type, my arms and palms tingle slightly. Is this a common reaction? Thanks for answering in advance!

You are doing well. :)
Working with younglings as a Jedi can be very interesting & fun.
When I do it in Jedi costume it is very interesting to see what the results are.

Feeling the force-----that is a unique feeling that one learns to get used to when it happens. I still get awed by it when I am relaxed enough to feel it.
You seem to be doing what happens with me when I sit at the computer. It can vary in intensity. At this stage you getting used to how it feels.
For me it can be very relaxing.

Master Jan-Qui: I'm relieved to hear that it is normal. I was worried that I was doing it wrong. Here is my paragraph for the sixth youngling assignment.

I believe that good manners show respect for yourself and for those around you. As my mother taught me, "Good manners and proper language-no curse words-not only demonstrate respect but you never run the risk of having offended someone else." I believe that that is true, and I also believe that as a young teenage girl in the modern world, more so know that I am training to be a Christian Jedi, manners are not expected of my generation as much. I think its fun to suprise people with the fact that there are teenagers of my generation that actually believe in respect and the importance of good manners. I cannot imagine treating anyone without common courtesty and simple respect due to the fact that they are also human and loved by God. This is why I believe manners to be of the utmost importance.

Feeling the force for the 1st time is a wonderous feeling when you actually realize you are feeling those energies. Just relax into it & you will grow accustomed to it. Every Jedi takes their own time to become accustom to how the force feels.
Remember also that the force will come at it's own pace. Though there are times it can come quite unexpectedly.
I know myself I've had times where I just sat back & felt it to just feel the force & anything else came if it wanted to.

So true in todays world so many teens think vulgarity is the norm when it is most definitely not.
People will react to you in a positive manner with good manners. Those who do not have no idea what good manners are in the 1st place. I know in tv shows & movies one would think they threw the manner book out the window.
You are doing very nicely. :)
