Hello. My name is Andnir. I've been looking around this site and the forum, and I believe that this is possibly the best place for me to advance myself. Currently I am a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I have looked into the Force, Qi, Prana or whichever word you choose in the past. I feel that the structure of training here suits my style of learning, and that the knowledge available at different levels greatly interests me. In particular the concept of specialisation, which I believe is good for how I like to learn and train. In terms of future plans, right now I am simply focused on learning and training and don't have a clear point at which I intend to stop or branch out. I'm not sure what else to say other than hello. Andnir. |

Welcome to COJK Andnir. If you need anything, contact the Council; or me, but the Council is more likely to actually be able to help. :) |

Welcome Andnir! Cole is correct. If you have any questions feel free to contact the Council. Master Silmerion Skywalker is on more often than I am right now. But Master Jan-Qui should be able to help you as well. |

I think that following the Jedi Way means to follow your beliefs as a Jedi. For most people, these will be the code and the creed, or a personal version. But almost anything could be justified as Jedi beliefs. Following the Jedi Way means following those beliefs. It also means training and improving yourself so as to better carry out your beliefs. So if you include comforting those in need as part of your beliefs, then learning how to better comfort someone in need is a natural part of the Jedi Way. So the Jedi Way is both having your beliefs, following your beliefs, and lastly working towards carrying those beliefs out to the best of your ability.
I believe that the Force is, to begin with, hard to understand. Actually I suspect that it isn't the understanding that is difficult, but discovering what it is is the hard part. Once you know what something is, it can be understood, but how can you understand something when you do not know what it is? I believe that it is an energy within everyone and everything, an energy that can be channeled and manipulated. However we cannot change or use it. If you have a flowing river, you can redirect it, change the way it flows to an extent, but you cannot make it stop and go back the other way, and any way you manipulate it has to be gradual. So while we can channel it and manipulate it to a degree, we do not control or change it. I don't know, and I can't really decide, whether it was created by God, if it is in a sense God, if it simply IS, existing because it does rather than for a reason. However I am certain that it is largely neutral. It doesn't lean one way or the other, it can be channeled in any direction and it does not distinguish. I also do not know or can decide whether it has a mind or intentions of it's own, though I suspect that if it does we will never understand it; because if we did it would make it impossible for the Force to achieve or work towards its intentions, because we would try to work towards them or try our own methods which could marr or destroy the final result. |

This is a very good and thoughtful answer. I agree with your image of the river flowing. Master Silmerion |
