Love is not just a feeling a person experiences with family or friends. In fact, it is more than that. Love is indefinable and cannot be measured at all. But what role does love play in our everyday lives? In order to answer this, one must look deep within themselves. The process of love or feeling it, all begins with yourself and how you treat yourself; not just physically, emotionally, but verbally and mentally as well. Are you the type of person to beat yourself up over not doing something right or for acting wrong in a situation? The beginning is here; to seek out troublesome areas in your own life and turn that darkness into light: light for yourself, light for others, and light for the world. Love for others is a topic many well-known people have talked about. Jesus spoke of love through loving yourself, loving your enemies more than your friends, all by not committing worldly sins, loving all creation, and in all aspect God. However, if a person loves all creation, it is just like loving God. Ghandi spoke of love through such phrases as “An eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind”. Now, I’m not going to go into a tangent and explain this quote because most know what it means. The late Pope John Paul II also spoke of love and the importance of loving others. Love can change a person’s life. It can make a person turn away from sinful things or bring them much encouragement. I once heard that one negative comment to a person takes over twenty positive compliments to make their self-esteem higher. With that being said, our actions, thoughts, and attitudes all affect our abilities to love ourselves and others. In times of negativity, it is especially hard to love others, let alone ourselves. However, when we get away from our way of thinking and love another, it helps get rid of such negativity. This is because; love cannot be present where there is darkness, hate, and negativity which consumes our well-being. Loving others is the way out of all hardships. In my own experience, when I feel most alone, and a lack of worth, I go and love others more. And so I leave with this thought, If you need more of something, go out and give it in order to receive it. This is the only way to spread love, to make a difference, and create world peace, by starting with ourselves. “Always more, Always better, Always with love” -Mother Maria Kaupus |

I completely agree with you. Love is the way out of hardships for ourselves and the others. Whatever happens in life, keep on loving, the others and yourself, because Love is healing, guiding, supporting, it gives the strength to go on, it really is the power of creation, that can be renewed in ourselves every day at every moment, so that we can go on growing and becoming new beings.
