And the data I showed was a USDA report which referred to the [i]exact same[/i] practices being employed in both industries. Last I checked, the government of the United States isn't, uh, affiliated with PETA. <_<

Lobbyists. @Eral: It's a frustrating thing that because of what I don't eat, people consider me a bad person or a neglectful parent, or that I care more about animals that people. I'm attacked for being vegan every day, and I'm not even overt about it. I didn't get that you were joking because, when people say to me what you said in jest, they aren't joking. They're serious, and I get accused of trying to make people feel guilty or of judging them daily. I'm sorry, but this is one area where a person like me just can't have a sense of humor.
