I think the researchers left out some of the other love styles. They probably pissed off work early for a beer, saying "Stuff it, six is enough." They don't seem to have my love style there.

They're very negative emotional descriptions: even Storge, which is accused of lacking passion and of being boring.
Eros: impulsive, pherome based, your basic six week relationship
Ludus: selfish bastardry
Pragma: emotional cripple
Mania: speaks for itself
Agape: professional martyr

Must have been an interesting control group. :sarcasticeyeroll:

The triangular love model seems more realistic.

I'm a mix. Storgic, agapic, pragmatic and erotic. In other words I rule or according to Eral's definitions: I am a shallow, boring, emotional cripple with a matyr complex, dang, I do rule. B)

I'd like to add that at this point I have taken my Spider Jerusalem action figure and tied his wrist to my Cassidy (from Preacher) action figure just so I can work out which positions are feasible with them and which aren't.

Read that and weep, internet. Weep!

No individual person is really meant to fit any one of those categories in a pure sense. They coexist and flow into each other in a continually shifting manner, from year to year and minute to minute. It's merely one man's effort to apply some structure to an overwhelmingly complex subject. You can't treat it like a blogthing quiz.
I belong to one of those families that does not speak to or see its members as often as we should,
but if someone needed anyone to fall on a sword for her, there would be a queue waiting to commit the deed.

You can't treat it like a blogthing quiz.

Of course you can, you can reduce almost anything to a blogthing and it will be as likely as accurate in these matters.

Testor: "Are you introverted or extroverted?"

Testee: "I am neither but I am more of an introvert than an extrovert."

Testor: "You are type seven personality."

Testee: "Good to know."

Testor: "Do you find kittens and puppies adorable?"

Testee: "Yes."

Testor: "Feminine characteristic."

Testor: "Do you find babies adorable?"

Testee: "No. I find adorable babies adorable."

Testor: ""

I joek.

This is a model used to describe human behaviour, the results of a genuine legitimate study: and I expect a bit more than blogquiz standards. Erik Eriksson would have been ashamed to offer up a model of human behaviour with only six categories.

I like the triangular model because it offers a description of a large number of recognisable behaviours. My personal favourite is "Fatuous Love". The people in the study must have been impressed by that.
