I'd like to add that at this point I have taken my Spider Jerusalem action figure and tied his wrist to my Cassidy (from Preacher) action figure just so I can work out which positions are feasible with them and which aren't.

Read that and weep, internet. Weep!

Merry Nondenominational Holiday!

(song download)
I belong to one of those families that does not speak to or see its members as often as we should,
but if someone needed anyone to fall on a sword for her, there would be a queue waiting to commit the deed.

I'm going to stick with the imperialist colonialist denominational greetings. Though that song is fab.

Merry Christmas! :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow: :snowman: :snow: :snow: :snow: :snow:

I'll also stick with the fest I celebrate, but you're all welcome to take it however you approach the season, provided it's positive.

Merry Christmas!

We're basically done Christmasing except for Santa. Big Christmas with the fam (sis, bro, dad, etc. - 12 of us) on the 23rd (huge gift haul for the kidlet) and another, with the extended extended family, today (more people - 18, I think - but fewer gifts). I boycotted gift-giving today because my dad's sister's family is out of control and I feel almost no guilt in being the reins. Actually, my cos said, "That's very courageous of you." (:

We'll have our little family Christmas back in T.O. sometime in the New Year, between real Christmas and the kidlet's fourth birthday on Jan. 10.

She gets presents, presents, presents this time of year. Hard to adjust back to normal life after all that.

And just for the record, I LOVE Christmas. I like giving gifts, I like for my kid to get new (and newly age appropriate) toys and I love lights and colour and food and drink. And holidays. And my family, although my dad and I make each other insane. (We've avoided it so far this year.)

Bad hangover. :o
I am never hungover. Slightly seedy for a few hours, but that's all. I am somewhat distressed at this lily-livered wussiness. Yes, I stopped drinking at 2 o'clock and got up at 10, but so? Took me a day to recover. :smurf:
Hope it's a good one for all of us.

Well, we finally had our small family Christmas, and I feel incredibly spoiled.

I am getting a painting from my husband. It's not painted yet. It will be painted by a friend who is a professional artist (and doing quite well for herself).
