Ha, I hadn't even noticed annoyances. Myself, I mostly don't get worked up either. I think I'm mostly worried I'm not annoying other people  Eral, I like you very much, and I just want to say I think it's awesome that one can feel so open to post something like you did above. I'm also sorry to hear about the crisis you're in, and I hope you feel better soon

I will have to go back to pancakes to try to figure that out. Like Nibby and Bex, I am oblivious. I hope I didn't seem annoyed. I'm like you, Eral. If you have a problem with me, I'd rather you told me about it. Otherwise I will likely remain oblivious. |

That is such a relief. Glad to hear I have just been over-sensitive and we can all carry on as usual. Please pardon me for being so wussy. I have two options for my New Career, the woman who answers the phone when you ring the police, or being the tea lady for the hard-working souls in the Tax Office. Being the tea lady has a nifty title that bears no relation to what the job requires - I think because the Tax Office doesn't want to let on how cushy life in the Public Service is - but it will mean being a toady of the Bureaucracy. The woman who answers the phone ("I'm putting you through to the ambulance service immediately", and "a squad of saviours is on their way now, madam", or just perhaps "the commissioner is being interviewed by the Office of public Integrity and can't come to the phone now, can I take a message?") would work shift, <_< , but be a servant of the People. Being the tea lady would be very undemanding. I could handle an undemanding job at the minute. |

You two butt heads a lot, but yeah, I always figured it was due to different outlook and opinion, not animosity! Glad everything's smoothed out. Have you had a chance to meet the people at either place? I've found that the people I work with have a much greater impact on how happy I am at a job than the work I'm doing. |

Ah, Eral, you just have to take everything Krazy says with dumploads of salt. He's a poor misled heathen, after all. Oh, oops. I suspect you are, too. ;P |

I'm a pro-Jesus heathen. Different brand of heathen from misled ones. I was going to say "thanks for the advice" re. my little spat with Krazy, but I think that conversation's over. :( Inky, the people at my work are always the most important factor for me. But unless you hang around a while with them, you don't find out anything about them. My sister says the other tea-ladies are all really nice (and she wants me to stop calling them tea-ladies :spank:) but you always have to find out for yourself. As a dispenser of umm, morning tea, my role would be "largely autonomous" (i.e. the boss doesn't care what you do just so long you bring him the paper) and I like the sound of that. I have concerns that the phone answering might entail a person with a whip who times your toilet breaks, but I'm sure my sunny positive nature would enable me to get past that, by bitching about them here. Life is full of danger. What can you do?

Have begun seeing a well-mannered tantric yogi who owns an ice cream company. February is sucking considerably less. |

www.bouldericecream.com I've been eating this stuff for years, it's really good. And we haven't even slept together yet and I already STRONGLY recommend tantra to pretty much anybody. I've already lost some energetic knots I've been carrying for years. (apparently the website's down, but there's this ) |

Some of the people commenting in that link are extremely bad advertising for tree huggers. <_< Of course you don't need ice-cream, of course it's a luxury - that's the point! A very harsh attitude to the simple pleasures in life. "Don't truck ice-cream, it's bad for the environment" !!! I have never been good at bending, so I'll be giving the tantra a miss. At my age, it can do more harm than good.

I hope the boyfriend isn't too seriously broken, Inky. It's funny I would've thought a tantric yogi would have more stamina. Go you!

I think I just need to get spayed. "Can't wait to see you again," I purred over the phone. Sez he, "Whoa, uh, wow, I was still enjoying thinking about last night. You know, five and a half hours on a weeknight is a long time. Yessir, a looooong time." Apparently "I know, it was great, more now please" was not the correct answer. |

Perhaps you should tactfully suggest an erectile dysfunction med. I hear erections can last up to 4 hours. I wondered if it was the father or the son. I think you should've picked the son. Less technique, I'm sure, but full of enthusiasm at that age. Right, Nibs? |

No, it's the father; the son's still a young teenager. I think caffeine and a day with no other demands would be more helpful, as well as some more realistic expectations on my part. I came across a poem years ago that expresses my general attitude towards sex, which may be why some unfortunates have labelled me a succubus. Making love with you Is like drinking sea water. The more I drink The thirstier I become, Until nothing can slake my thirst But to drink the entire sea. - Marichiko |
