So people have come and ask me how do you run games fast and not have to wait all the time for turns?

Easy!

1. SET UP A DISCIPLINED ROUTINE

Just power through on the day of turns and get it done except for strenuous circumstances like holidays. The more you wait the longer it'll take and the less interested people are in your game.

2. POWER THROUGH IT IN AN HOUR OR LESS

Give yourself a time limit. The task at hand expands in accordance with the amount of time allocated to do it.

3. BLPPY NEWS FEEDS

You don't need to write paragraphs. Some matter of fact lines will do when you're short on time.

4. SUMMARIZE INFORMATION

A big part of turns is to consolidate multiple things into one. Process at the fringes of the world then get to the players in the heart of the action. Summarize information, and never turn back or waver on your result. BoP and countryisms are games with winners and losers. Someone will always be happy, someone always unhappy with the result. As long as you have your reasons that you can defend for why something happens, you will be okay.

5. FIX THINGS RIGHT AWAY

When people come nad complain, make sure adjustments are made right aw;ya, or write htem down somewhere and od it at teh end of the day if you expect more than one complaint. you'll forget about them later.

6. SIMPLIFY YOUR RULESHEET

You don't need to make your stats or your cgame complicated. yOu can have very simple, abbreviated stats. The more your game is in a vacuum, the better off you are. Any stats that have over 6 lines per character or country playing are too complicated.

7. CONSTRAIN ACTION AND MAKE YOUR GAME SIMPLER

With a fixed action set or action counts that's possible, you make your game a lot simpler Always make sure to explain your mechanics and the best way to play your game in light of the rules.

8. MANDATE MINIMAL TURN TEXT

If you want quick turns, put in a 100 word limit on turns, or a one paragraph limit.

9. IT DONT HAVE TO BE PERFECT

Typos? Sound like a hillbilly?

People aren't looking at your turns to grade them on MLA formatting. If your writing sucks, post it anyways. They care about what happened, not whether your question marks are inside or outside the quotation marks.
