The first bug reminds me of a Cutworm moth. Sure has a long neck, doesn't it? How big is this baby?

It was a few inches long. I wish we'd measured it. I'd estimate about six to eight inches.

I"ll have to come back later to look at the rest of the pictures. The Internet is so slow right now that I can't load the rest. :(

Dora, I didn't measure it, but yeah, it was a big rascal!! That's why I took a picture of it...since no one would have believed me otherwise!!! :P It was a hand length, so depending on whose hand you used and how big the hand was...yeah, at least six inches, I'd say. :o

I KNOW what that first bug is.......It's a canadianitis bugitis giganticus....

Now, if you can get close enough, and please try, you will ACTUALLY hear this amazing creature singing the Canadian National Anthem.....if you can look close enough you will see the maple leaf on his little butt......he needs this in order to get across the border.

Apparently, the CBG....as it is known up here....can actually carry off small creatures, such as terriers, cats and birds....bringing them up to Canada for re-training......

The one you have there is a small one......probably a very young one......so I would suggest that, before you venture out at night, you listen for the strain of Oh! Canada.....then you will know that they are there......waiting........

A good point about them is that they can be trained and can become a very good housepet......only thing is you will always have to listen to Oh! Canada......by the way , they are bilingual.....so, they sing in French, as well as English......

Wow, this page is huge. I have go scroll back and forth again lol. But the rest of the forum seems ok. Anyway, I believe this bug is an Earwig. I hate them with a passion. You can do a search and see what they look like. They can fly and they will bite.

Oh ok. I thought there were problems again. I will tell you how I get my photos right for posting. Right click on the j-peg file and save it to your desktop. Then upload them to your host site like photo bucket or what ever one you use, from your desk top where they were saved. They will be a normal size then. I don't know where you have your photos saved on your hard drive, but if you do it that way it will be fine. Or at least that has been my experience.
