If anyone's interested, we took a few photos while we were away. I thought I'd share them with you... :)

View outside our motel room...Note the bird there on the ledge, called a grackle. He was waiting on us to feed him.. :P

Enjoying the waves..... :D

Also, Farrell had taken one of me underneath the limb of a massive live oak tree with the spanish moss dripping off of it...Don't know what happened to it. Anyway, these are all we took outside. We used a video camera otherwise. Hope you liked the pictures. :)

I just wanted to mention that if anyone's interested in seeing or reading the history of Jekyll Island (where we went), here's a good site...

http://www.jekyllisland.com/

It's really famous for all the wealthy folks who used to own it and have "winter" homes there...Rockefeller, Goodyear, Morgan, Pulitzer and Vanderbilt...Their homes are still there and also the club they built. But now, it's just a very nice peaceful place to visit and relax... :) They have a saying on their local newspaper which reads: "Once your feet touch the sands of Jekyll Island, you will always come back". It'd been 12 years since Farrell and I had been there, but we did go back. :P

Wonderful photos, Miss Darolyn. The only way they could be better is if there were MORE. :) Thanks for sharing.

(There's snow outside my window right now so those PALM TREES look positively heavenly...Sigh...)

Fantastic shots Lula !! Looks like you had a wonderful time..Must be a great place to go..It is the first time I have ever heard about the place. Enjoyed it. I love the palm trees too. I couldn't help but notice how calm the ocean was when you took the sunrise picture. Absolutely beautiful !!

So they have grackle birds too. We have been having trouble with big flocks of blackbirds again here at the house..The grackle birds like to hang out with all the blackbirds. Sometimes I feel like I am living the movie, Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds." :P :(
