[/size]If you really do not understand the instuctions, abort this hack. If you are a user of another browser like Firefox, Opera, Avant, or any other Internet browser and you want to disable Internet Explorer in Windows XP because it stills nags you with stupid dumb ass stuff you don't want showing up, well your in luck and here is how to disable Internet Explorer in Windows XP. Here is a small piece of code that you will use to add to your Windows XP. 1. Open your NotePad 2. Cut and paste the following Quote in the Notepad window. 3. Code to disable Internet Explorer:
The above code is for your Windows XP that is installed on your C:\ drive. If it isn't, change the C: beneath @echo off to the drive letter corresponding to whichever HDD or drive partition that you have Windows XP installed to... 4. Now save text file this as "disable-ie.bat" to your desktop. 5. Now once that is saved. Goto your Desktop and Double click on the saved "disable-ie.bat" file. 6. Windows File Protection" will most likely show at this point, with a warning dialog box, saying some system files have been replaced with unrecognised versions, and to insert your Windows XP CD to restore them etc... Don't worry, it's safe to ignore this. You have to restart your computer at this point. I may freeze but not to worry. Just hit the reset button. From here on everytime you try to open IE, all you'll get is an empty IE window. If you want to enable Internet Explorer again all you need to do is follow the previous steps but this time the Code is as follows. 7. Code to enable Internet Explorer:
