Hello! You must be new and unsure of how does collaboration on this forum works, and that's the reason why you're on this thread! Well, you're right! If you visit this thread, you'll find out everything you need to know!

Process of Collaboration
How does collaborations work, you may ask? Firstly, there are two types of collaborations - Group and On-the-Spot collaborations.

Group collaborations are done within your own collaboration group. If you would like to join a group, you can check out the Auditions forum. These groups are for collaboration purposes, and you will be able to join any On-the-Spot collaborations at the same time! There may be some auditions that you might go through, but that depends on the person creating the group.

On-the-Spot collaborations do not need any groups to start the collab. Just head down to the Chorale category, find the language that you'd like to sing in and you may start joining any open collaborations! They don't require any type of audition!

Once you have decided on the "type" of collaboration that you wish to join, you're all ready to start singing and recording! However, if you are someone who wishes to start a new On-the-Spot collaboration, you should pay attention to the following paragraph(s).

You must include color-coded lyrics, with romanizations and the Hangul/Chinese Characters/Kanji if you're doing any Chinese/Korean/Japanese songs. If it's in English, you should include the lyrics of the songs. You must remember to check the topic thread daily as you, as the creator, are responsible for updating the positions and making sure that not more than one person signs up for a single position.

As for Mixers, if you do not include who the mixer is in your topic, it is assumed that you will be mixing the song and people will be PMing you with their clip. If you, the creator, is not the mixer, you do not set the deadline and it is the mixer who sets the deadline instead.

Please remember to include all these in your topic:
- Title of Song
- Original Artist
- Mixer (If needed, otherwise it is assumed you are mixing)
- Final Clips Due Date (to be updated when all positions are filled)
- Parts to Sign Up for (& Sign Up form if necessary)
- Color-coded Lyrics

There is no actual format on how On-the-Spot collaborations are to be posted as, but we strongly encourage you to use a similar format to the other collaborations.

Clips
Please do not edit your clips (ie. Noise Cancel/Remove) or send overlapping clips to your mixers as they would prefer the original audio. Please send in your clips as either a mp3 or wma format as they are the most standardized formats.

Lateness for handing in clips is not tolerated. You may be replaced with or without notice. If you have signed up for a collaboration and you're busy, you should know better to pull out of the collaboration before the deadline. However, under certain circumstances, the mixer may give you a deadline for your clip.

Finished Collaborations
After the collaboration hosted is finished for either On-The-Spot or Group Collaborations, it is the mixer's responsibility to upload to either youtube or box.net and reply to the completed collab thread with the link to the completed collab. After it has been replied to the collaboration it will be moved to completed collaborations in their respective forums.

Questions?
