Maggie McIntyre
The Banshee of HATE
As much as he tried to act like he wasn’t hiding something, Maggie knew better.

She just chose to ignore it.

At least for now, the rookie had far bigger fish to fry. It was why she’d found a decent gym down the street from their hotel, dutifully avoiding their opponents staying in the hotel. It was why she wandered the halls at night when she couldn’t sleep, a collapsible baton at the ready...just in case. Just because she had night terrors and a serious lack of decent sleep lately didn’t mean she wasn’t going to be at the ready. Maggie wasn’t going to be blindsided...or drugged and taken advantage of again.

Not by Haven. Not by his Queen Bitch. Not by Indrid fucking Calder.

Not by any of them.

She would not be taken again.

Come Battlelines she would have all that she wanted. Alyssa Marie, in a cage...with no help for her at ringside. There was no training she could have in such a short amount of time that would possibly hold up against Maggie in the long run. She was a rookie, yes, but a rookie with a few years of training...and two of the best teachers she could possibly have. The dangerous one...Jaime Alejandro. The fucking insane one...GRIMM.

She had her father’s devious intellect.

The girl just had to use it.

This battle was for her and her alone. Michael was fighting for his company. Maggie was fighting for her damn dignity. The pictures the Havens had spread were plastered all over social media, it was hard to walk around her neighborhood in Boston without being recognized for it now. That was the biggest reason she stayed with her boyfriend so often now. It was a place to hide.

Though Mike always gave her the space when she needed it.

She nearly always slept on the couch, the comfortable couch that was so much the same as her old one.

It held such good memories.

Right now, the punching bag took the brunt of her anger. She could imagine Alyssa Marie’s face there, taunting the vindictive old bitch as she tried to escape the cage...but there would be no escape. Alexander Haven would watch as his rival’s girlfriend rearranged his wife’s beautiful face. There would be nothing lovely about that face by the time Maggie was done with her.

While Mike fought his war, Maggie would wage her own battle against a woman who had humiliated her.

Who had brought her down to nothing.

Maggie McIntyre would show all of them exactly why she belonged here. Gates was an asshole, but he was a damn good businessman. Even she had to admit that. The reason Ed Johnson and Gates didn’t get along was simply because they could be brothers, far too much alike… Her boyfriend was in this for the revenge, but Maggie was going to push him hard to do right by these people if he won. After her own battle, of course.

Even Gates’ team would get the fair shots they deserved.

These were real people and their livelihoods at stake now, not just a petty revenge he’d sought for fifteen years.

She would do this, because there was no other choice.
