[The camera fades in to the office of Stacy Vandervort, backstage, immediately after Battlelines XII at the Combat Zone. Stacy is taking a seat as we fade in, breathing harder than normal - clearly she's just made her way back from ringside. She acknowledges the camera with a nod and begins to speak.]

"First of all, I want to issue an apology tonight. An apology to the EWA fans, to X-Calibur, to Azrael Goeren. That was not the way things were supposed to go down. My reign as the person calling the shots in this company will NOT be marred by officiating blunders and mistakes as blatant as what just occurred out there. Therefore, the following announcements are to be made:

Number One, I'm fining both EWA Junior Official Rick Iley and EWA Senior Official George Abjornson $5,000 for their actions tonight. Mr. Iley had no business going out to the ring to intervene and add himself into the match - Mr. Abjornson was the official on record, not Mr. Iley. On the other hand, Mr. Abjornson intervened in what was a direct conversation with myself and X-Calibur, thus neglecting his duties inside the ring at a critical juncture, one that would ultimately decide the match. These things are going to happen - professional wrestling is full of distractions, and I can respect the fact that officials aren't perfect. However, I had the situation with X-Calibur under control - there's therefore no need for him to intervene.

Number Two, I'm fining X-Calibur, Eryk Van Warren, $10,000 for putting his hands on an official - specifically, for hitting Mr. Abjornson with the X-Terminator. Physical abuse of EWA Staff will not be tolerated, no matter what leads up to it.

Number Three...I'm giving some individuals - three, in particular - that have been wronged by The Youth a chance to make things right. Therefore, at Battlelines XIII on May 31, live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, we're going to have a six man tag team match. On one side will be The Youth, consisting of the EWA Tag Team Champions, Alexander Haven and his partner, the EWA World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Kage. Joining them will be the EWA Network Champion, Martin Robertson. Those three will team up to face off against Laura Seton, Azrael Goeren...and Martin's father, the legendary Grady Smith.

For this contest, we're going to have two major stipulations. If the team of Grady, Laura and Goeren win the match? Then on Tuesday, June 27, at Path of the warrior, Chris Kage will put his EWA World Heavyweight Championship on the line in the main event...in a Fatal Fourway match against...Laura Seton, Azrael Goeren, and Grady Smith. You can consider this a sort of #1 Contender's Match for the trio.

However, that's a bit one-sided, and so the Youth deserve to have a stipulation of their own. And I've agreed to that. Therefore, if The Youth emerge victorious in this contest, I'll allow The Youth to choose from any EWA wrestler currently under contract to be the person that faces Kage for the World Heavyweight Championship at Path of the Warrior.

Thank you, and good night.
"
