Please sign the petition about these draconian proposals. So far (9/10) only 12 people have signed the petition in our area - surely we can do better?

Its at: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/168112

If the proposals are brought in you will not be able to fly any self made model weighing above 250g and it will have to have height limiting electronics on board......

Thanks Mike.

A similar petition in Germany about the prototype regulations is already above 120,000 signatures.

The BMFA appear to believe that the CAA/BMFA will be vested with control and they may know something I do not but they do not appear to be pushing the members to voice objection. The item in BMFA News was strong but did not even give the link to sign the petition.

I know that draft regulations are written knowing that they will be watered down, if they remain as they are model flying as we know it will be no more.

Its up to a total 3543 now (19 from mid Sussex) so the S E Area e-mail drop is bearing some fruit. If you have not done so yet, sign the petition, go on DO IT NOW.

It may be worth adding that we can sign the Petition as many times as we have different email addresses. Many of us have two or more email addresses.
In turn, the Petition isn't limited to BMFA members, we can get our families and friends to sign it as well.
Every little helps.....
