looks to be properly sorted, they are due in stock in Germany, which is where the UK stock comes from, in November...

Now a question, does the club classify a VTOL as a helicopter?

Cheers

Thats a good question John . Personally I would not call this a helicopter as it does have a large fixed wing for flight. But its flight characteristics could be an issue. Fixed wing flyers would not be expecting something to be hovering around the strip. Perhaps it should be classed as fixed wing but with restrictions to flying . ie to be flown only with other quads , Helis , Vtols. This is just my opinion and not of the committee.

I had a feeling this would come up before long. For what it's worh here is my tupenceworth.

In my opinion for the purposes of the Club Rules it would be classed as a helicopter and be covered by rule 10:-

10. Flying of Helicopters (to include other vertical take off craft such as multi rotor Small Unmanned Aircraft and Drones)

Once membership critera had been satisfied, flight would be allowed subject to the Safety Notes 5.c.

Copies of both documents are to be found on the Club website under "Membership"

All a bit formal but it will encourage everyone to look and refresh their understanding..............

(I can be a bit anal most some of the time)
