Strip Rolled And Summer Parking (hopefully)

A few of us got together and rolled the strip twice and it is looking good. John Prior brought along his 4 x 4 mower which we used to pull the roller along. John Prior, John Gill, Jon Tanner and Martin Adam added "weight" to the roller. I drove the mower while the 4 of them shared a flask of coffee.

If the remnants of storm "Stella" does not produce too much rain we hope to open the Summer parking next week. You will know when as the barrier will be removed. Just drive sensibly with no wheelspin and all should be well. If you drive on the left or right of the track a little you will be on grass and that will not cut up.

The barriers are still in place as the recent rains have taken their toll. Until they are removed Winter parking still in use.

The runway and walkways have been cut and are looking very good. Pilot boxes and pits to be done. The ground to the north of the southern walkway is drying out well whereas that the other side of the new land drain is still waterlogged - worth extending the drain.
